Top 10 DayZ mod maps?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for something that is not Chernarus.

So what are the 10 best maps?

I'm going by your opinion and not by popularity,

1. Chenarus

2. Namalsk

3. Taviana

4. Lingor

5. Panthera?

I don't even know about the last ones, I hardly play different maps, I really only enjoy Chenarus, and sometimes Namalsk.

Since he's NOT looking for Chernarus:

1: Namalsk

2: Taviana

3: Nothing. All the other maps suck

Chernarus wins best map award though. Namalsk being a close second.

Who knows about the rest. I have played most except for some of the newer ones but they have their deficiencies. As far as mods of the mod I think Breaking Point (Chernarus) and Origins (Taviana) are well done. People rage about Origins due to the makers being shady, but it is still a fun mod.

My top 2 ;

Taviana (awesome, large, great for vehicles)

Lingor (change of scenery, tropical climate)

On mods, Origins (Taviana) is really good if you're into vehicle heavy play and basebuilding capability (houses, garages, etc) despite the shady makers.

its fantastic, perhaps even better then Taviana..

Namalask is great for short fun filled lives.

+1 on this.

If you have to look for something besides DayZ Chernarus, just install Origins and get you Taviania on.

Our crew only really play origins anymore, its mostly out of performance though! 3 of us have seeeeriously low end computers, and barely struggle to play normally. Origins though is running way better, getting 20-30 fps even in towns...which compared to 10-15 in chernarus is enough to keep us there really.

Not over sold on origins on the whole though other than that. Are there any other mods which run notably well?

DayZero apparently runs really well, I haven't tried it though personally. It's pretty similar to the official DayZ mod but they have rewritten/overhauled a lot of the systems to increase performance, changed a lot of the weapons to make them more authentic, added some new vehicles (including a glider), replaced the combat logging system with their own version and added some new zombie skins and player clothing (based on your humanity)

That 1914 mod map in the french snowy town is good, i've think they've finally got that fixed for DayZ but not too sure.
