Im hacked In DayZ?????

Hi everyone,

So recently on a dayZ server i said in side chat" Anyone want to skype team? " A guy said yes and we shared skype Info, As i joined there was multiple others inside the call and right as i joined, i knew something messed up was going on.. Reasoning behind that was they randomely started bursting into

laughter.. I died, and then they said they were going to come to me (although i didnt give them coords or anything) and a second later i turn around and one of them is there.. then i see in the top right cornor of me screen, Rustlers Infections, you are now infected. press F1 to open controls. I say wtf to them in skype and they ask what, I tell them" um... rustlers infections? what is this?" They say WOW I just got that too! I press F1 and notice a gigantic list of hacks... I get scared now... I didnt download anything.. Im running off dayzcommander.. that only leaves one option. Ive been ddos'd???? My brain clicks. Im in a skype call.. they may have gotten my ip off it.. that means they could have loaded in some hacks.. Im begging to understand my compuuter could be compromised. They spawn a helicopter (although they act like it was randome) then after a bit the server (randomely) crashes.. I log back in and then they do and then they close skype and eject me out of the convorsation.. And then when i msg them they go offline.. Can someone explain to me what the heck just happened? This is my 3rd day playing.. and to be honest i dont know if i want to anymore, I dont want my computer to get ddos'd well actually I take that back, It was my idiot move to skype with someone randome.. I apologize. Please help me someone.

Kevsta, You should be fine I would not worry about a dos as these guys seemed to just be toying with you ingame.

Don't Panic.

It looks like you simply went on a server that was hacked.

Unless you voluntarily downloaded something you should be fine.

Also google DDOS. You were not DDOS'ed.

Ok Thanks, Ill get back to playing :) And I didnt voluntarily download something so I guess Ill be OK, thanks for the posts everyone. ^^

Don't fret I have had the same happen to be (albeit in a wasteland server) apparently hackers can run a script to temporarily give you "hacks" re-logging has always solved this problem for me.

As long as you didn't go onto a hack website and download the hacks yourself, then you have nothing to worry about.

no they did not hack your computer

No they did not get your IP they couldve gotten that from skype to begin with

seems like people have found a way to Bring infection Mods into Day-Z

Just means like COD you get infected by joining a server and that infection gives you hacks to the game

like Wallhack disarm people spawn weapons etc.....

these usually always cost 5$ to $20

ddos is a denial of service attack, basicly sending ping request to a server from 100's or 1000's of computers to get it to crash.
