Bashas and Ponchos!

In DayZ, tents are the only way to sleep. I'm not sure if any one else has heard of these, but in the military there are things such as Bashas and Ponchos. They are used primarily in woodland. They are a form of cover used for sleep, OP {Observation Points} etc.

FYI: The poncho is also doubled up also as.. well a poncho.

I think these could be useful as they can help camouflage, cover from weather, observation points etc.

Extra: I also think rain and other bad weather should effect characters performance. Which is also a good perk as Bashas could be re-packed and placed quickly like the tent.

As for tents, as of now I don't bother sleeping in them, not much point, perhaps with new features they could be of more use, rain has little effect at the moment.

I thought someone would be thinking that direction :L Yeah, I'm not sure if this is being implemented; But I thing sleep could be a little more useful. I mean, my character hasn't been to sleep in the last eight days :P

last time i used the sleep in tent option my char took so long and would not cancel out of it that a zed laser tracked and king hit him , enter broken legs and death.

Not happy.

Idea seems ok but i would prefer to be able to stack branches and other woodlike foresty type items..like wood..and bits of forest.. into a bivouac type shelter.

I think the assumption is when you log off you sleep. I don't see how a sleeping mechanic can work - it is real time, you can't just have a sleeping animation for 5 seconds and be fully refreshed.

Anyways, who could sleep during an apocalypse...there's way too much fun to be had.

If that's the case, my player on the public hive has been sleeping for over 100 days..
