non of that on my server, I just post a clan-pay link in my steamgroup a week or so before renewal date and if I don't get any donations I just pay it, people who donate don't get perks they are just helping keep their world alive.

To the people blaming servers/admins; they're hardly to blame. Buying donation gear is no different than buying a hack and spawning boxes, sure, it's pretty retarded to ruin a server by offering these donation perks but in the end, the people who buy it are to blame.

Either way, easy solution. Plenty of good servers around without donation bullshit.

And that's the kind of server you're looking for.

You're welcome.

I don't suck, dude, I had to go from Cherno to Elektro, seriously, I needed blood, food and everything.

Go up north, there's town there, or go to balota's airfield. In cherno and elektro there's military spawn as well.

loot said enfield, makarov and alice. make way to stary cautiously. if going by nothern road out of elektro start flanking shortly after guglovo and work your way above the treeline overlooking stary. kill donator, loot body. go flank all other sniper spots. enjoy more nato rounds than you know what to do with.....enjoy noobs begging for your ban on sidechat cos they can't deal with you.

then go find a better server

Your own fault for playing on trash servers with ridiculous donation features.

what so many dont get is its becoming the normal to charge people for doing so.

1 busy server does it so another does becuase it fills your pockets. imagine a busy 60 man server full allday 24/7 it becomes like a business not a game. it makess a joke out of the game.

cant wait for standalone to come and squash this shit as everything will be locked and fair play and sense will prevail for a while.

They're doing it because it's easy money; instead of buying hacks and getting banned lazy people will just join a server with good donation privileges and get a ton of stuff. It isn't fair but every could has a silver lining, just go out and kill some of them bam you have excellent guns easily. Then again it would feel wrong like taking stuff off a hacker, maybe you would hide the corpse instead then with the items.

Oh yeah and they can say it's 'free' stuff because they aren't technically buying, they are just making a donation and to say thanks they are given stuff. It's cheating minus chance of getting banned.

you know what you should get fook all !

play the game as it should be and stop exploiting shit and charging for it.

looting in dayz and gathering your gear is most of the game charging people for you basically hacking and giving the items to people is pathetic and such a idiotic part of this mod. best thnig is because how private servers are all they need to do is say we are allowed to hack becuase we are private

dont use hacks just pay us to hack and we get rich and not banned. hahah such retarded shit.

Well I'm gonna tell you something my mom always said to me, "Life is not always fair!"

If you don't like them servers then

Don't play on them!!!!

A wise man once said, "If nobody's life is fair, life is fair."

(If nobody has a fair life, it's fair to everyone.)

But, I understand why you'd be mad about the snipers, and I agree with the second part of the quote above. Just play on other servers.

The main reason people are doing this is they find the normal game too difficult to survive in and find gear in. They forgot the number one rule and lack the patience to play the game properly. To a certain degree, culture has pushed them in this direction with such emphasis on instant gratification and of gaining an "advantage" over your adversaries by whatever means necessary when in competition. Good sportsmanship takes a back seat to the glory of winning. What is comical to me is that the "combat" experience they desire is ready and available in ArmA2, complete with AI warriors and the ability to grab any gun you want, so if they just wanted to blast each other and get tanks and Apaches or any other number of non-DayZ hardware, all they would have to do is start that up. The people I have mentioned this to said "But it's the survival aspect I like" as they loaded themselves with free gear and then required zero effort to survive. What these people want to do, with all their extra guns and so forth, is ruin someone else's day. They enjoy the fact that some other poor bastard is trying to survive and they can ruin their day with some advantageous, and purchased, gear.

I agree with Orlok that allowing people freedom even when they do this is better than locking up the game to only one presentation. It is clear to me that the biggest problem of this issue is that new players have a really hard time knowing an official, vanilla, everything normal server from one that is totally jacked up. DayZ commander does a horrible job of differentiating, I don't know much about the Six Launcher. Perhaps there could be some logo that appears on loading if and only if all server settings are within standard vanilla boundaries? I dunno, but something needs to be done. Freedom is a good thing to have, but some good old labeling can help player make an informed decision, no? I think there will be a whole group of players that have no idea there is a difference if they don't come to these forums.

Then again, if they don't come here, who the hell are they anyway? :P

Very true...im just gonna say though the only reason i offer gear for donations is that its a thank you. Heres a little something to make your life easier when you just made my life easier.

Well I played on a server in which the AS50's where banned and that to buy a coyote or gun was ridicously high. Around 30-40 dollars for a regular gun and around 50-60 for a high powered one. And that is for one gun with a backpack or something. They held competitions like helicopter backflip contest! So in moderation, it can be a fun and good thing to promote PVP on a PVP server.

^ LOL

It's rubbish but people are going to do it, it's the good and bad of having private servers I suppose. You just have to stay clear of those ones or stick to vanilla public hives servers. It's not like all privates are doing this and in reality it's their option to do this whether you like it or not.

Servers exist to cater for the many flavours of Day Z that people want to play, no one is forcing you on those servers. If the demand wasn't there they wouldn't exist so clearly some people want to play this way it isn't your place to dictate to them what they can and can;t do on their own servers.
