I think im banned but not sure i ceep getting badseriel number my friend trolled me installing this thing no clue what it is but i really love arma/dayZ if i am banned please unban me/help if i have to buy it again i will but if i had to how would i delete all the saved things from my last dayz that is stopping me from playong this amazing game!

Verify Cache in Steam or run Steam in administrator. If it comes up with Global Ban with numbers and letters, contact BattlEye.

Bad Serial Number Given in Setup at game launch means your registry's recording CD key and Steam's CD key aren't matching, due to a change or accidental deletion. It's a simple fix; do some googling.

If your friend got you Global Banned... you're fucked.

Also, to get unbanned you have to contact BattlEye support, this is their rules:

• No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity.
  
• It doesn't matter if you only cheated on your own private server. Cheating on BE-enabled servers is forbidden, period.
  
• A shared or stolen cd-key is no excuse. It's your own responsibility to ensure that no one else has access to it.
  
• No details about your ban (including evidence) will be revealed. Hackers would love to have access to this information.
  
• If you cheated you will have to live with the consequences. Global bans are permanent and no exceptions will be made.

Well that is just an error you can fix by Googling your problem, I strongly suggest you stop using the program "your friend trolled you into downloading". Because your fear of it being a ban makes me think you are hacking and just basically admitted to it indirectly. If you actually have encountered a Key-stealer then I feel for you but its time to format your computer before you even fix that problem. And most likely if you wish to continue playing you will need to put foward more money and replace your key that is going to be stolen and banned..

Secondly, your post is a little confusing but it also seems that you have installed some software you were "trolled" into installing. I dont know how that happens but what software was it and why do you think it's caused you issues?
