BloodShifta 0 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) dayZ Staff can not and do not have access to BattlEye global bans, and can not revoke them in any way possible. You MUST contact BattlEye support about any bans issued on you This was said in a post that i recently just saw. Okay you guys may not have control over the bans that Battle eye put out, but is there communication between between the company that deals with DayZ and Battle Eye?. You would think that there would be considering the fact that there are people getting "Globally Banned" everyday for just logging in. I have a friend that has been Banned 3 times and bought the game 3 DIFFERENT TIMES, and is stilling getting banned. No sense is made of that at all. Its better for this problem to get fixed before the cummunity goes down. Right now all it looks like is the companies are just robbing people of their money thinkin that they are going to just buy the game again anyway. Just something i think (and many other gamers think) you should act on. Edited May 12, 2013 by Fraggle edited font colour so it's readable
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Well DayZ is a free mod for Arma so really you should take these concerns to the BIS forums. The reason DayZ devs have no control over global bans is because it's a mod of Arma and Arma uses Battleye. I personally have many friends that play DayZ totaling thousands of hours in-game and not one of them has ever been banned.I would suggest that for your friend to be banned multiple times means that he's doing something wrong either knowingly (hacking) or unknowingly (having a key-stealer on his system). To be falsely banned once is extremely rare, three times suggests the issue is at his end and not BE's. If he got banned the first time by unknowingly having installed a key stealer, then that malware will continue to steal his key's however many times he buys it until he removes it from his system. Keeping your key safe is your responsibility, not the devs. Edited May 12, 2013 by Fraggle
AmberHelios 2071 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) so to cut a long story short you think that volunteers who do not work for dayz/bis/battleye have an open dialogue with batteye short answer is no the script files are made by bis and are modified voluntary people by bis for dayz in his own time. your friend really should try and find the reason he keeps getting banned ie check out his pci have been playing arma since it came out and dayz since it first was realised as well as other mods and i am still on my first and only key Edited May 12, 2013 by AmberHelios

Element47 2481 Posted May 12, 2013 you cant fix stupid. Multiple bans means: he either uses hacks, or he buys his game keys from shady sources which sell keys multiple times, or his computer is malware-infested and thus his keys stolen and then in turn sold to hackers.also, DayZ is not being developed by a company, and the developers are not earning money from it. Your money-grabbing argument is invalid.

Target Practice (DayZ) 1335 Posted May 12, 2013 The OP was indeed correct with his title - there IS a communication issue. Sadly, that issue is that he's seemingly unable to understand what others are communicating to him. Still, he seems like a nice enough fellow...
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted May 12, 2013 There are a few BE devs that have mod forum accounts, that being said I don't think they need to comb the plethora of ban appeal's submitted by players as they have a site of their own to review the same thing.
