When carrying passengers in a littlebird heli be sure to inform them to never, never, never parachute out.

When they first implemented little birds in November or whatever I probably lost three in a row before I figured that out.

Tip: Never trust anyone with a gun or hatchet until they put them down. Even after that, only trust them if they get in a TeamSpeak/Mumble/Skype conversation with you. People who just want to kill you won't take the time to get in contact with you. Plus, when they hear your voice they should naturally stop treating you as an object and find it harder to backstab you.

If they shoot at you, shoot back! They look at you funny and aim at you when you're not in cover, put them down!

You have more blood than in normal Arma II, meaning you can take more risks. An M24/DMR/SVD/CZ550 will not kill in one shot, but will lower your blood to around 4k. You may or may not be knocked out. If not knocked out, keep running, find cover, and bandage. Then keep running. If knocked out, hopefully you landed behind cover. If you manage to survive the knockout, bandage, and run.

Dont post threads about kos, servers with start up gear, or mention cod kiddies. ( i think the next one should be sticked and all others removed)

Game related- have patience, think about your suroundings and the conitations of the geographic layout of the area you move thou or too and ur own actions.

Try to avoid abusing exploits, play the game as it was intended to be played.

As it was intended is highly subjective...

But as to exploits....do you consider the following as exploits or just smart tactical game play?

Running through houses to lose agro?

Reloading a not quite empty clip of ammo so that it goes back to full on next relog?

Loot cycling?

Killing on sight because of reason X, Y, and Z?

Parking your vehicle on the railroads by the docks in Cherno/Electro so Zombies can't get to you?

Sitting underneath the blades of a chopper so Zombies can't get to you?

Running up a hill to lose agro?

Running down a hill to make zombies jump and die?

Using smoke to agro zombies away from you?

Leading a zombie train into another player?

Eating 12 steaks in a row to regain health?

Logging off while bleeding to wait for a friend with a bandage and bloodbag?

If you're thinking im trying to advocate any particular playstyle then you're mistaken,

I was simply saying theres a lot of exploits/bugs in DayZ (many of which i have abused in over the year of playing) and taking advantage of these exploits only serves to break the game even further,

sure you can have the attitude of everyone else is doing it why shouldnt i?

But in my personal opinion the game is better if you can resist the urge to go the easy route by abusing the games less than perfect mechanics.

I fail at this often but i still try.
