If they put in gore the german authorities will censor it.

This basicly means that everybody, living in germany, buying this game through steam will have no blood effects and maybe even disappearing bodies .. -.-

(they actually did this in L4D1 + 2)

so please do not put in gore

It should be disable-able. Why? Because of stuff like this:

I had to vote no.

I have seen to many war injuries. When you see some one being rolled past you in a wheel barrel holding his intestants in his hands with the rest of his inerds in the barrel around him screaming in pain over each bump the thing went over or the brains of a crew chief splatterd all over the deck from when a spinning rotor struck his head and his body is there on the ground with the bottom half of his skull this attached to his neck or even... never mind, I'm not getting into the stories. I don't want that kind of detail that it brings up those kinds of memories when I am playing a game for entertainment.

I am all about realisim. Hunting animals. Needing certain stuff to get others things going. Using the stars at night to find your way. But the point where peoples entrails are hanging out, I could do with out.

And of course, those who just don't like all that much blood or live in countries with censorship.

I can see problems with the option to disable gore on an online multiplayer game, at least player-side. Lots of games have gore these days simply because games these days have better special effects. IMO gore only becomes a problem when there are emotional ties involved. No one cares about blowing a zombie or alien head off, people perhaps a bit more...

As much as I feel sorry for you, DAMN YOU. Now I no longer feel the urge for a pie. Ass. Then again though thanks. Too many meals at Burger shot could be shed off with gore.

Those are very basic gore mods.. If they could remind you of such stuffs, then you should better go with nicer games tho dunno rly lol... Seeing zombies eating people' intestinals would not help this case as well.. c.c

I don't think we should compare ArmA to GoW for gore, seeing as Gears equates a shotgun at 1m into the entire body being turned into potato sized flesh chunks.

However I do think gore along the lines of OFP would be cool, things like an explosive going off nearby will turn you into pink mist, shotguns/rifles at close range cause massive bodily trauma, and headshots mutilate the head.

How would you even treat a blown off leg, oh god the lawsu-err I mean that would be a mess. It would be really neat to have more gore in the game, but if you go into the legs/arms blown off then you just have people killing themselves because their guy is now useless. Legs don't grow back or repair from that kind of shit. Maybe if you took a 50 cal round it would basically shred the leg and give you a permanent limp instead of actually blowing it clean off (if you survive of course).

They can add a lot of gore as long as they add the option to remove it and dont make a big deal about it. In a game called Warframe you can dismember and gore enemies in mortal kombat level but they don't make a big fuss about it so it's not that noticeable or bothering to a lot of people compared to mortal kombat fatalities

What chance of survival is there though? It's called the feneral artery. You get shot there and you will piss blood faster than water coming out of a bucket.

You're dead, You're dead. Thats it.
