Your favourite map?

So what is YOUR favourite DayZ map to play?

The reason I'm asking is for future reference when more servers will be added to my DayZ Community.

We want to run several non-official maps as well and therefor are interested in what maps players love the most!

Let us hear your opinion! ;)

Chernaurus is the best Hands Down. It has more detail than any other map I think.

Also your profile pic makes it hard to consentrate.

I've only really played 2 or 3 that aren't Chernarus (And I'm pretty ashamed to admit that :/), but out of those, I feel that Lingor Island was my favorite.

I was going to say the same thing, but I thought someone would shout at me for poking fun at someone's grammar ¬_¬

For me the only map besides Chernarus that provides a new cool unique atmosphere and challenge is Namalsk...could use 2 or 3 more villages though (especially on the smaller island).

Chernarus wins, can't stand the other maps because I first have to download the huge file and then find a private hive, which I'm not up to.

CLEAVAGE

Chernarus wins, hands down. Taviana is my favourite community map though.

What is this Chernaurus people constantly talk about? Chernarus with dinosaurs?

Taviana. (needless to say Origins) HUGE map, LOTS to do, and through all its bugs, im still in love with the map and everything about it. except for those 3 roaming patrol AI that like to kill you, well, rather injure you and break your legs then leave.

Chernarus, but I'm slowly warming to Taviana.

Lingor didn't really gain my interest and Namalsk doesn't allow lone wolf gameplay.

Thanks everyone, for your input so far! It's helped me yet another bit to understand how the players themself think about the game and it's maps!

I'd say Chernarus too. There's loads of great maps but for overall balance and for a map most fitting with DayZ it's gotta be Chernarus every time for me.

I began the DayZ experience with Namalsk - because honestly, I felt lost on Chernarus in the beginning. Namalsk can be amazingly eerie and like no other map at night, but it is very small and packed with high grade military loot. Not the best map to hide out in the mountains on, but one of my favorites.

Chernarus is great. The pervasive feeling of tension it inspires is like no other - even driving around is a nightmare with all of the obstructions in the road. Definitely holds a place in my DayZ heart that no other map can replace. However, Chernarus can get stale for me from time to time.

Taviana is my favorite at the moment. For exploration purposes and urban combat, her cities cannot be beaten. Taviana has in my opinion a near perfect blend of sea, air and land exploration/interaction. A couple of drawbacks are the glitchy buildings, and the overabundance of loot around every corner. But Taviana is also a map capable of sustaining a large player population without feeling crowded.

Takistan is a great map as well - the ground being so loud to walk across combined with the vast open spaces and lack of traditional foliage for cover prevents a good challenge, but the variety of buildings and sites to explore does not really do it for me.

Overall, Taviana, Namalsk, Chernarus and Celle get my vote.

Chenarus...

Chenarus, its the alpha and the omega..

The beginning and the end

Its where all the serious players got their start

And its where us DayZ fanatics call home.

Anyways there is nothing better than some 3rd world broken down russian looking post apocalypse place in the fall. Its beautiful yet adventurous with a hint of terrain challenge.

DayZ stand alone is going to be closest to Chenarus anyways so get use to that setting.

Celle and Chernarus are tied for me, 2nd is Taviana, 3rd Panthera, and then Namalsk at 4th (i never really dug the stalker/DayZ feel)

Taviana/Origins for now, though Chernarus will always be my first love, I will happily return to her after SA release.

Out of what I have played, Chenaraus Is my top, because it offers the greatest variety.

Although Taviana has been fun, I haven't played the others enough to offer a great opinon

Chernarus. I feel DayZ was made to be set in a post-soviet coun- wait.. It actually WAS made to be set in a post-soviet country.
