Cooked Food

Recommended Posts

Just a thought... if we can cook meat over a campfire, why not do it with canned goods as well to improve some of their already minimal effects? Technically speaking you can still use the can itself as an improvised cooking pot too.

I mean as good as Beans are, aren't they better cooked or warmed up?

+1 I have thought about that so many times. If I found a can of spaghettiOs I wouldn't eat them at room temp... I'd heat those mofOs up.

Well really heating them up wouldn't do much expect make them taste better. Almost all canned food is precooked and perfectly safe to to eat.

Wouldn't taste different even if cooked if i'm not the one eating it but yes normally you do warm up your food to make it taste better.

Well there's that 'fell good' thing of having something warm in your stomach as opposed to something cold or room temp. Yeah room temperature lumpia tastes pretty good, but its fucking awesome when its straight out of the fryer/pot. Maybe add the option to 'warm' canned food and already cooked meat, and you have say 30 mins to eat it before it cools back down to normal. As to the perks, maybe a LITTLE extra blood from hot meals (say a can is 200 blood, a warm can of soup is 250 blood, eating a freshly cooked steak will do 650, ect) might not make much of a difference but still. Maybe also warm you up as well (effects like a heatpack maybe but longer?).

might as well mix beans with other ingredients too.

This...this needs to be done. Combine foods to make meals, can of beans and a steak will heal 900 blood and you'll be 'full' for longer.

And I have to say it. SPAM IS FUCKING AWESOME! You poor bastards see the pink under cooked cube and think 'ew'. Slice it thick/thin, and cook that shit up first, get it nice and red, a little crispy, hell even slightly charred, and its as good as bacon. NOT BETTER mind you, but just as good when done right.

I wouldn't say warming up food adds blood, as it extracts nutrients from the food inside the can itself via heat, it moreso should give a slight morale boost, or something like that.
