Scary cabin in the woods

I dont know if it would be possible to have random cabins in the woods spawn with a loot location and maybe an NPC survior or 3 that takes shots at the players as they get close.

You want to be scared? Play DayZ in the middle of the night and in the dark (With or without headphones)

that will scare most human beings.

2nd the no NPC notion, this game does not need them.

No none player npcs that extend past zombies or the rare army Huey fly by. (A cargo plane that drops supplies would be cool to.)

Played Dayz in nightmode, during night, lights off. Only using flashlight. Was not that scared

Most scary game I ever played, during night, lights off is F.E.A.R. 2. Nothing can beat that scaryness of that game

On topic I like the idea of those cabins :)

Just simply put a scary cabin in the woods that is abandoned. Maybe some secret door that leads into a slaughterhouse :ph34r:

We need more Green Mountainy stuff.

DUDE ! I have been thinking of this idea for ages but haven't bother to post it here yet ! I love this idea so much... random cabins and or small sheds that spawn only deep in the forests.. I dont think the bot survivor idea will ever see the light of day(according to rocket) but the random spawning of just the smallish buildings is a brilliant idea.

I can see it now..You have been lost in the woods for the last 2 hours..The lasts rays of the sun are vanishing through the tree tops .. the temperature is dropping rapidly.. the dense woods are slowly but surely sinking into complete darkness.. and finally, you spot a small derelict cabin.. still standing.. it has a chimney ! you break in with your crowbar etc.. SOUP TIME ..woOo :lol:

Also, if they're all dangerous, no one would go to them.

youd get guns from them maybe the gauss rifle but it would scare the shit out of you.

The likely hood of finding a weapon other than a spanner or axe should be very small. Maybe an old battered hunting rifle 1 in 1000 spawns :|

The point is to make it an utterly useless place, but make it infamous for the scaryness of the place. It should spawn some sharp melee weapons, that's all.

There already are cabins/houses in the woods...

There are plenty of buildings scatted around Chernarus. The village of Tulga is just a few houses in the woods for example. Same things with Olsha in the NE.

They will be enter-able in standalone. I feel you will be pleased OP :)
