mr_chabowski@live.co.uk 2416 Posted March 12, 2013 That depends on the lore (when it's revealed)IF they have normal human requirements, and IF the outbreak occured some time further back than a couple of weeks, then lack of food/sleep would have killed of the majority of the zeds.I suppose they must deal with their needs. In which case it would be nice to bear witness to it occasionally.Sleeping zeds would be like land-mines if you got complacent.

Vapordad 81 Posted March 12, 2013 How would they sleep? Standing up and grouped? eye's open or cuddling a recent survivor that's half eaten.

Hockeyguy 107 Posted March 12, 2013 Could be a good idea if some minor things were to be worked out but I think that this could be a very cool idea if properly brought into the game.
mazeash@mail.com 73 Posted March 12, 2013 The most dismal zombie film I've ever seen (Apocalypse of the Dead was it's English title) had but one good scene where about 30 zombies were laying down 'asleep' but somewhat aware, I thought it was a very original idea when I saw it. Although I think standing, grouped (like the creatures invented for the film version of I Am Legend) would be more disturbing in a darkened building.
GOD™ 2795 Posted March 12, 2013 Lets say they do "sleep" and they do it while standing up and it looks like they're awake or something(?)i dunno i'm just throwing ideas in for this.
Death_Dealer 3155 Posted March 12, 2013 Perhaps they could be like the non-aggroed zombies in Left 4 Dead 2? The ones that rest, not walk around or vomit. Here's an example of one of the resting positions - Some of them also lean against walls and appear to be sleeping, but I couldn't find an image of that.Sleeping zombies would be unable to see, but still have the ability to hear movement. Upon startling the resting zed, they could jump up and realize there's a fresh meal right in front of them- you.

jezex90 12 Posted March 12, 2013 It would add a lot to the ambiance rather than all the zeds going someplace nowhere all the time. Would definitely be interested :)
Jeremiah Cross 55 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) Funny you bring this up. I was looting the warehouses at the harbor in Berezino the other day, and when I ran back to my car there was a Zed laying prone in front of it looking quite dead. He had his head on the ground and everything. I got about 10 feet from my car and its head pops up, it looks right at me and starts crawling. I was like "You tricky little mother!". Scared the crap out of me.If all the zeds are spawned in all the time in SA (which I seem to remember reading somewhere), i think just having crawlers play dead till you get close could be a good option. You could shoot them to be sure, but in a lot of cases that would just draw attention to you. Edited March 12, 2013 by Jeremiah Cross
