I think it would be a good idea to be able to change the colour of your clothes or weapon

say you want to be in a group and they only want certain colours on their clothes so they can tell if someone is part of their group -eg (like a red helmet and you have a blue helmet you should be able to make it red once you have paint)

maybe you just want to stand out when killing zombies and make your gun yellow or something

Definitely agree with this idea i think the tools should be there and let the player use them. Also i think you should be able to make a guile suit for you and your weapon or even car lol.

If these dyes were really really rare then it would make sense but I like the idea of having to make a choice between wearing the bright yellow raincoat that would protect me from the elements or that skimpy camo tubetop fashion statement.

I do like the idea of being able to camouflage a car or tent with items from the surrounding area. Eg. throwing leaves or moss on top of a car.

As SausageKing says, I'd like there to be some distinction between the camo'd-up folks freezing their asses off and the cosy, warm teletubby looking fuckers.

Storage space should be a deciding factor too.

If I could change the colour of my clothes I might go with a DayGlo pink outfit just to see how many people would shoot at me. Would make for an action-packed experience.

Dying a piece of cloth is not a fast process. The cloth has to sit in the dye overnight, and the drying and washing takes time too.

If this was implemented the DayZ way (authentically), it would be a rather troublesome process to due your clothes.

EDIT: Not to mention the procurement of the dyes in game.

Actually I would make mine black and gray.

Gray color so that when its daytime and i'm near airfields I might blend in with the runway better then someone who is green running across.

Black color so that when its nighttime i wont need grass to help me be camouflaged. I could just simply get on the ground and i'm gone. (Unless someone has NVG obviously)
