UnrealUndead 0 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Guys, I was playing DayZ since almost a year now, I had a longer break and now I am playing again. I watched a video on Youtube, he was playing DayZ Origins. When he was in Salvation City he got hit by a NPC. He started to bleed, but he took no damage. The explanation was that he wears a bullet proof vest. Now I am wondering, is it a feature of DayZ Origins or are the bullet proof vests included in DayZ since the new patches? Or was is it just kinda hack? Edited March 3, 2013 by TrueRealityAD

IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted March 3, 2013 Whelp, this Thread is gonna be locked/yarded soon. The Camo clothes have a 'bullet proof' vest on them, never played Origins so don't know the equipment they have.
kingflip 42 Posted March 3, 2013 as a normal survivor, you dont get any advantages like that. However, the "Camo Clothing" comes with a BP Vest, i think it offered 15% against Handgun Damage, but that's it. it does nothing for rifles or shotguns. even the "lower" grade ones. Never 237 Posted March 4, 2013 No idea.whats the DayZ:Origins loot tables compared to the DayZ mod ones? there may be a difference.
kingflip 42 Posted March 4, 2013 But not in the normal dayz, right? i thought it was just a skin. (im asking)I think it can be toggled, i played on a KGB server that had it enabled. If it has custom loot spawns, "soldiers Clothing" also has it, "camo clothing" is a legit item that can be found on ANY server, unless disabled, but aside from that, there is no other skin/clothing that offers any form of bullet protection. Pandema 352 Posted March 5, 2013 Oh dear lord not this thread again...Does it honestly matter if Frankie is hacking? His videos are entertaining and its not like he's going around nuking servers or teleporting onto players and killing them, more often then not (atleast that we see) he gives players a chance to surrender before he blows them away.
