If I'm correct, they reduced the audible range in the last patch.

Lee Enfield is an amazing weapon. The iron sights are amazing, the damage is consistent, and ammo is easy to find. Enfield gets my beans!

Not recommended to pass up better weapons of course because of this, but if it is all you can get, then stick with it!

I'd take one over an AK-74 any day. Unless I felt like taking an AK-74 that day.

It's way better for long range fights but you'd better make your first shot count.

The Lee is a poor mans sniper rifle in my opinion. It is a nice gun, got all the benefits of a sniper rifle, minus the scope. Its accurate, got good range high damage AND with the added bonus of a dinner bell attachment. If i'm doing a medium ranged fight then I'd take a Lee over many of the other guns in game.

Really, the Enfield is SERIOUSLY underrated.

I was in elektro with 2 mates yesterday, and i killed like 3 bandits with that gun, finally changed it for a SVD Camo but got then killed by a Script kiddie

The Lee Enfield is a great gun except for its one major flaw.

The fact that its a bolt action.

But i guess that balances it from being OP.

The slow fire rate irritates me sometimes.

Take an Enfield over any other non military wep I would only take a cz If I've found a reasonable amount of ammo and even then I still don't like it. Any assault rifle or military sniper comes first obviously

I've used a few of 'em irl...They're awesome and certainly more accurate than a standard FAL with iron sights.

I seem to recall that they were available in three stock sizes, too.

I think skill is underrated. The Lee Enfield, like most other rifles in DayZ, is a pretty accurate weapon and if you get shot in the head its gg. I generally prefer a weapon with better damage, optics, and rate of fire, but I'm not afraid to try long shots with the Enfield because a rifle is still a rifle.

Hell, my roommate's favorite weapon is the m14. He regularly headshots moving targets at 600 yards without magnification. All about what you can do with what you've got.
