Problem with Steam and DayZ

Hey Guys,

I have a problem with starting DayZ with Steam. I bought Arma II and all addons in a package. I downloaded and installe everything, but when i start DayZ now, I have the problem that a programme file is missing.

Can someone please help me out?

Did anybody have the same problem?

what program file? did you configure the launch options to include dayz when you start arma2 combined operations? Starting DayZ from steam requires this. Als you need to make sure you have the latest arma 2 beta installed and overwrite the main arma2oa.exe with the one in the beta folder.

Thanks for this fast answer. I'm not able to see the program file. Its just stand there that, a program file is missing. I didn't know about the things i gotta do after downloading. I will do that and look if it works otherwise Thank you! :)

Did you run both games at least once before launching dayz? i had the same issue when i first started. there is some setup to do by running both arma II and combined operations at least once before running the mod.

have you tried running dayz commander and installing the latest betapatch from there?

You MUST install the DayZ mod into the same drive as where you installed ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead.

You MUST run ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead before trying to run the DayZ mod.

But DayZCommander is still recommended for DayZ until the fix for private hive servers and other DayZ versions gets out.

@Bubbajones Yes i ran "Arma II, Arma II Operation Arrowhead and all other add-ons" before.
