I don't really see a useful application of jumping in game, considering the kind of height you would achieve with a full backpack and carrying an assualt rifle. I'm all for a fuller range of movements but the emphasis should be on making vault and combat roll a smooth and reliable way to traverse fences and such.

Here's an idea. Why not extend the vault animation to being able to lift yourself up onto low platforms like train station platforms and major industrial buildings.

Dont forget to add a % chance to feint/bone breaking chance to running as well. Also a chance to accidentally choke on your beans is necessary

I 100% agree with you. A chance for a trip/fall/injury while running is a must have.

There should be few if any "no brainer" choices. Nearly everything we do can have a negative unintended consequence.

Seriously, is the John Woo front flip they added not enough?

Not enough. Too much! <_<

Also we should map some human genes in there so some players would get inheritary heart attacks or other diseases like osteophorosis and alzheimer. There are dangers everywhere!

I'm having bad flashbacks of everyone "Dolphin Diving" in BF2.

That being said it would be good for a little hop over small fences and such, as long as you could only do a jump once per 15 seconds. Otherwise people will just start jumping as soon as they get shot at, and thats not realistic.

Ok so you can only jump when running and approaching something you could conceivably jump over. If not it will lead to mayhem.

I guess the victim of that crime would be you (unless I am terribly wrong about the 3rd member of the conversation)
