Utes on chernarus standalone

so, we all know utes is going to be apart of chernarus,

but does anyone know if there will be a bridge?

i know utes on regular dayz has car spawns, will it have the barrack etc etc. Or will it be editied?

There has not been any mention of a bridge, so I'm going to assume you will need a boat or helicopter to get there.

I don't think there'll be a bridge, I hope not anyway but there's an airfield there ATM. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be replaced by a large installation like a prison or asylum meaning there would be good motivation to get a boat/heli or risk death by swimming there to get yourself some phat loot.

It appears to be pretty close to Skalisty Island. from what we've seen so far, there're no bridges, but I think what we was shown was probably just proof that they were able to add it to Chernarus. Five bucks say Ivan and Martin will have added their magic touch to Utes, before the standalone is released.

I think there should be better chance of military loot there, but only chance of getting there is either boat or by air. If you try and swim you will definitely catch sickness from the water being cold, so that will bring you down in health for how long you are cold in the water. We don't want it to be easy to get to Utes if it will spawn some good military loot from being so close to the coast of Chernarus, do we? Other than that, there should be some great loot to find if you get lucky.

They should have put it further away, it makes no sense having an island that close because there already is one unless they removed it.

They might be limited by Chernarus, having to place it within the detailed map boarders, but I'd prefer it a couple of kilometers out at sea too.

There was never a bridge from Chernarus to Utes. Utes is a prison island, there wouldn't be a bridge to it.

If there is a bridge connecting Utes to Chernarus, I hope that it's been modelled as a bridge that's been intentionally blown up to isolate the island from the mainland. Therefore, completely unusable.

Yup, that'd be perfect IMO.

The devs should be able to extend the border with ease, a player was able to place all three or was it all four OFP Islands on one single map so if he can make it they should be able, too. The distance is just laughable, no use going to the airfield and taking the risk of finding parts for an aircraft if you can go there easily by boat or even swim if you are bored...

I don't think it's been added to the map yet. Chernaplus is still a work in progress.

It is has been removed. I swam out there before, went to do it again....gone!

 

Hopefully it returns better than ever and heavily modified by the map team.

I hope that on a rare occasion you might spawn in a cell or something, along with a few other people and may be forced to work together to fix a boat/ heli/ microlight and fight off zombie inmates to get off the island.
