OrLoK 16186 Posted February 18, 2013 Hello thereDid you download it from a safe source? The original prog is fine.RgdsLoK
sototallytoby 0 Posted February 19, 2013 Yeah it's a false positive. It's also happening with games such as Minecraft.
ActionManZlt 160 Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) I just ran my dayzcommander.exe through these two multi-engine scanners, which include AVG:https://www.virustot...sis/1361234311/http://r.virscan.org...5c4029770d.html...and no viruses were found. It's entierly possible you've downloaded your DayZCommander from an unofficial source and it actually is infected with a trojan...Or that you've downloaded some other DayZ tool, which decided to infect DayZCommander specificially...Or that it's a false positive... porkus_maximus 36 Posted February 19, 2013 I always download DayZ commander from the official website. Every now and again, Norton 360 (I know... I know) will suddenly decide it's a virus and delete it post haste.
Movin_pics 11 Posted February 19, 2013 I've been getting this as well, I have downloaded it from the actual site as far as I'm aware so I'm leaning towards a false positive.
plrsniper 87 Posted February 19, 2013 The only virus warning i have gotten in relation to DayZ is when BeClient wants to update itself, saying it's a generic downloader trojan.Obviously that is a false positive too.Just send the file to be examined by whatever virus scanning companies you trust. They will tell you the whole story.
kingflip 42 Posted February 19, 2013 okay, just checking. and yes, i downloaded it from the official site, so i expect that to be the best source. it's the only DayZ related thing i've ever downloaded
smore98 225 Posted February 19, 2013 God dammit I am late again......and yes, false positive. Be sure to download from the source here on forums.
jk_scowling 44 Posted February 19, 2013 If I'd listened to AVG everytime it said I had a virus...I'd have less viruses on my computer.
Max Planck 7174 Posted February 19, 2013 I use AVG and I never had that 'false positive'. As others have said, make sure you download from a legit source.
