What can I do to fix these ugly looking messes? I am running a gtx 680 direct cu ii top, with a i7 3770k oc'd to 4.1ghz... This shouldn't be happening with my high end gaming rig

Weird.

Have you updated your GFX drivers recently? If not give it a go. Also, have a look at your card settings via- catalyst or the Nividia alternative and tweak some of them.

Currently running the latest driver for my 680, I have my nvidia control panel set to give maximum quality. I tried performance, no noticeable change.

try turning off muti core rendering or starting the game with -winxp parameter
