Why am I banned?

I was playing on DayZ Panthera in an empty server so I could test out the FAL with NV and someone joined the server and then said "Can I shut this server for a while?"

So obviously I didn't have much choice so I left and joined a Chernarus server. But something was weird when I was on there, I spawned with absolutely no blood and I couldn't be damaged, at first I thought this was a bug so I killed myself using the Respawn exploit after pressing escape and then I spawned with once again, no blood. So I didn't complain and carried on. I was gonna go to Cherno for basic provisions so I set a marker there, once I closed the map I was in Cherno. So I just thought, I must have accidentally got hacks. I knew this wasn't good but I carried on having the time of my life, eventually I closed the game and tried to look at my data files. They were completely fine but when I tried to open DayZ again, it said that there was a render error or something. So I looked up the error and fixed it by messing around with my registry, then it said I had a bad serial key?

This happened almost last month so I've been trying to fix it since then. I've submitted. If I rebuy ArmA, will it fix it?

"Bad serial key" isn't a ban message and the likely cause is you "messing around with your registry", it's doubtful buying a new copy is going to fix whatever you did to your registry if you can't fix it with your existing one.

A third party executing scripts on a server (allowing you to teleport) won't result in you being globally banned, the only person at risk is the hacker.

I've just tried to join a server and it gives me "Bad serial number given in setup"

So is this to do with my CD key or what?

I've seen that post before and seriously nothing works. I can't run as admin because I'm on Windows 8, I can't delete stuff in my registry...

Well, your best bet is the bohemia forums as they created the game that you are trying to run, whereas this is the forum for the DAYZ mod.

There's really not alot we can do to assist you.
