whatsmynameagain 31 Posted February 11, 2013 It's a dangerous environment I came up with. There are mines underground and your only hope of salvation is a metal detector. Metal detectors can help you find loot or mines. There will be a random occurrence that some mines might turn out to be duds. You can only find minefields near bases like a military hanger. The land mines were left behind by the last governmental body that desperately tried to find salvation from the undead hordes running rampant. There would be a blue flag near minefields to notify you of the impending danger. Sometimes, minefields will have a rare piece of loot in the center to reward those who have conquered this threat. eclipse0414 25 Posted February 12, 2013 I played on a server that had a base building mod (not dayz+) but it had visible landmines as body bags. Before i knew what was going in i was in a panic.
