How good is your Russian?

Recommended Posts

I have started recently playing on the Balota Buddies UK server, they have no map marker so using land marks like Prud at NWAF are an essential part of play, or perhaps seeing Devils Castle sitting eerily on the hill, suddenly I decided I should really learn the Russian words for the towns and cities in Chernarus.

I decided to make a quiz for the community to test how well we know our Russian, now I know people will likely just google the Russian words but to those who don't, good luck.

I just took a quick look over the list and knew some of them and could work out some of them by looking at those i already knew.

But this is pointless for me and so many others as we know where on the map we are and don't need to read the signs to know where we are going etc.

That is, i know the map better than i know the Russian names of the towns/villages.

You'd be surprised how many people play on marker servers..

I can speak Polish, which has similar words collected from Russia, but the alphabet is not the same.

I won't even bother trying. I am clueless about Russian language except Vodka and Chyort (I don't even think I got that right)... BUT! I know French :D

This. Only Russian words I know are Da and Nyet but I am interested to learn more. I don't think I even spelled those correctly.

In Soviet Russia, Russian speaks you.

That isn't really funny for the last 2 years, is it?

I've been learning Russian for 5 years at school, and I'm talking in Russian with my friends at the college ATM, so I don't have any problems with this language though. I'm glad that I can read and speak both Russian and English.

I think that'd probably depend on the person, if you mean overpowered. (Or overpriced)

I was just kidding.. They have the advantage of knowing which town they stumbled across, while I have no fucking idea where I am. (No map)
