bfisher 561 Posted February 3, 2013 So I'm driving down the coastal road in a Ural truck I found in Berenzino. All of a sudden I see a motorcycle and a UAZ jeep driving straight towards me. I'm unarmed, so not wanting to take any chances I give a blast on the air horn and drive straight at them. I clip the motorcycle as it speeds past, but smash head on into the UAZ.I was less than impressed with the results.Instead of shattering the UAZ into a fireball of twisted metal, the Ural just sort of rolled over it. In fact, all it did was slow me down enough for the driver to step out of the car, unharmed, and shoot me.
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted February 3, 2013 Someone's been watching a few too many movies. But they do need to work on collisions. I can ram a wall going almost full speed (trying to brake) and break just my back window and damage the front tires a little, where as I go over a small, climbable mound of trash I going about 40 I slam into it, break the front and side windows, damage the engine, break two tires and damage the others. OrLoK 16187 Posted February 3, 2013 Hello thereWell, this is an Arma issue rather than a DAYZ issue. I do know that the physics have been overhauled for A3 and somewhat in VBS, but whether Arma will receive any loving n that dept seems unlikely at this stage.L

Goggalor 191 Posted February 3, 2013 You have to remember that DayZ is a mod of a super realistic military simulator, so the engine is not designed to accurately perform high speed car collisions, because, unfortunately, it's not considered a valid tactic by most modern militaries. That being said, I am hoping vehicle physics are improved for the standalone.
