A new DayZ

I think dino's would be fun. They're be massively more dangerous than zombies. Imagine it: sticking to the towns in fear of the larger dinosaurs, thereby putting you in danger of the smaller ones. Raptors inhabiting the cities, and the forests. While T-rex stalk through the open fields. And T-rexes could eat people whole. So if you manage to kill them, you could access all the gear they'd eaten, giving groups a reason to team up and hunt down the really powerful enemies.

Plus, creeping through cherno, watching the hills and surroundings, watching the streets constantly, because if a raptor sees you... they're faster than you, more powerful, and they hunt in packs.

It'd be like DayZ on crack. And you'd die three times as often. And with at least five times as many girly screams.

believe it or not there was actually a mod that someone was going to make with the first arma that had features very similar to dayz. But the arma 1 engine didnt have enough script availability for them so they swapped the mod over to the cry engine instead. And in all honesty, It looks pretty sweet lol. Check out trescom (a place for trespasser fans) Theres a guy thats re making an old JP game thats going to be an open world survival rpg. It also looks very promising.

There was a PC game about hunting dinosaurs called Carnivores. I like it, would play in multiplayer Dayz style.

No thanks. Zombies is extremely popular probably due to CoD zombies. Dinosaurs on the other hand isn't that popular and so won't get that many players imo.

Id produce a certain small wet patch if someone released an mmo survival game. in the image of the mighty Dino Crisis (origional and 2 maybe).

But, alas young padawan, such dreams were not meant for arma 2. Hopefully (because i see the dino idea on a day to day basis here) some dev somewhere felt the wind of opportunity,

because its there. Imagine being lost in Jurassic Park or Skull island from king kong trying to find your friend whilest doing your best to not end up raptor feed. This is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Hi, I just got done watching Star Wars and I thought, "Wow surviving VS the Empire would be damn fun, and I mean maybe it could happen sometime?"

We would have all kinds of Empire npc's, the lethal and aggressive predators such as AT-ATs and AT-STs , less aggressive but just as lethal Stormtroopers, and Tie fighters (the flying ones)

Wouldn't that be great?

The Empire AI would be based of their real eye sight, sense of smell etc. If they ever existed. The bigger Empire npc's would be in the center of the map/island and the smaller ones around the coast. The map would be full of old abandoned buildings and cities, and look a little bit like Tatooine.

Thoughts around this?

I hope the next film you watch isn't ghostbusters.....

I think before I went for a dino style version, I would take a ghostbusters version of dayz for gozer's sake.

someone said something about dinosaurs being 'unoriginal' ....uhhhmmmmm i don't think he's understanding of the fact that this is a *Zombie Game* which is very overdone in many things now, and is becoming unoriginal faster than Vampires after twilight started(not necessarily started, but mostly thrust it into cheesy-dom) that huge vampire-love trend

I haven't seen a experienced a decent movie/game/book/song/anything since Jurassic Park 3. and the SEGA game way back when (turok was just....horrible)

SO i think it's safe to say, a current gen Dinosaur game (especially with some of the newer facts about dinos and new species' details and everything is taken into effect) would be flipping amazing

I get over the fact by liking the rest of what dayz has to offer.

I'd rather ghosts than dinos.

BUT, if the game were made well, then I would be more than happy to play, as I do with Dayz.

(like wise if a ghostbuster mod came out and was poorly realised, I simply wouldn't play it)
