Agree.

TBH, I think the Winchester itself is too rate too. The Enfield is EVERYWHERE along with it's ammo.

Agreed - crazy that the standard chance is 4% for LE Mag and 2% for 1866 Slugs - it's worse that there is a 5% chance for the 2Rnd Slugs and Pellets!

Well the original winchester did fire .45 rounds. This is why the current ammo system needs to go.

You should be able to find various rounds (1-3) and be required to load magazines/cartridges. even be able to find rare larger magazines.

The winchester would not require any magazine of course making it a much more well rounded gun if this could be implemented.

Funny thing, I don't think I've ever fired a Winnie. I under it's a rifle, but never was interested as it uses Slugs such as shot guns.

The Winchester is THE best common weapon ingame. Almost no bullet drop, if you check barns / cities regularly, you'll never run out of ammo. If you can work with the iron sights, it's the best thing to start with.

Yeah it's pretty rare. It's my favorite common weapon but I often have problems with finding ammo for it and have to trade it for a enfield or something else.
