So many issue's, where to begin with this ''game''

I've enjoyed playing CO so far for the past few weeks. Thought I would try this Dayz out seeing as everyone is making it out to be so great.. Does anyone even have an official way of getting this ''Mod'' to work. I've lost count of different versions online, programs, files this and that. Tried to download the simple version from this site but it dont even let me do that. Only things I can download is spam. In 22 years of gaming this is probably the worst process I've taken to get something working. I also read some help topics etc. All just dead links and other nonsense. Can someone who actualy knows this game give a hint as to the magic powers optained to make the holy Dayz function

1) It's a mod, not a game.

2) Download Sixlauncher or DayZ Commander from the site, not hard.

3) These different versions are pirating, you just admitted to that.

4) 22 years of gaming and you can't use the mouse to click "Download"?

5) This mod is free.

Click Install/Update on DayZCommander for DayZ/ArmA and any additional maps you want to play.

Join a server.

Apologies for the rant. To the first responder, how am I being a pirate? I have a legit version of CO from steam and not long ago found out about this mod so I wanted to try it out. And no it has not been as easy as click download, install/load software. Ive tried both download windows and it never gives me the option to download the actual file, only other things like pdf reader etc

I noticed the playwithsix site is a landmine for ads. Luckily a friendly guy recommended I install the Adblock plus addon for firefox. Get it.

Pretty straightforward but I don't blame you for having trouble. I almost downloaded some crap from the ads after my recent reinstall.
