Standalone idea: M.O.L.L.E.

Recommended Posts

Hello! This is an idea I recently thought of. This idea, if implemented, will add M.O.L.L.E. vests that can add extra slots for certain items or other little ideas. As this idea, think of this...

Mag pouch(assault)

Pistol mag pouch

Grenade pouch

Hydration system

This loadout has no unrealistic abilities. Mag pouch(assault) gives 2 extra slots for magazines for a primary such as an M16 or an AK47. The Pistol mag pouch gives 2 extra slots for pistol/sidearm magazines such as an M9 or an M1911. The grendade pouch gives an extra grenade slot(frag/smoke.) And the Hydration system gives an average of 50% extra time that can be gone without drinking, but needs to be refilled at the same rate(this idea is to have a better solution to carrying around alot of drinks that can easily fill an entire inventory).post-140115-0-59781100-1358748253_thumb.

This in no way shows all my ideas for the different varieties of pouches.

What do you think?

Do all survivors have a military background...? Imo 60% wouldn't. Why i think that: If male and females are about 50/50 only a fraction would have served, especially in the american military. Over a half wouldn't even know what the things are you mentioned because they would be too old. A lot more wouldn't even care because they would have other problems than to gear up for war...

But people in a real zombie apocalypse can think for themselves as in "Hold on, that pouch there I could get some duck tape tape to my leg to hold things in maybe ammo or food."

I like the idea for pouches but do they always have to ammo/weaponry related?

who says that somene needs a military background to have a vest with M.O.L.L.E. webbing? Anyone can get one, they are sold by some sporting goods stores as well.

ok yeah, "hydration" and "backpack" cover that, so think of what you said.

And by the way, this is a simple, and I quote, "suggestion" of something that can play a role in an inventory system. Maybe if this idea is used, there might be make-shift pouches found in random places in Chernarus.

Guess what most US based gun enthusiasts did when they were younger...

In Germany you'd be looked down upon as if you were a potential spree killer if you showed up at your local gun range or going hunting in "combat gear".

What everyone and their dog who hasn't heard of/used MOLLE kit would grab if they need a "vest with a load of pockets to carry stuff" is either a fishing or photographer's vest.

Duct tape and cable ties will allow you to fit any sort of pouch anywhere you want it to fit.

Add a carpenter's toolbelt and you could carry a whole lot of gear without needing a backpack.

like it

topic:

I also like the idea of inventory slots beeing dependend to the clothes you wear, not only you Backpack.

I think a normal survivor would wear a Jeans or some other pair of pants with 2 front and 2 back pockets .. this means +-4 Itemslots. So now he might also be wearing a coat with 2 additional pockets resulting in 6 slots total.

That would give loot like Cargopants a use and make then a welcome find.
