razvan 0 Posted January 18, 2013 I think DayZ will need some kind of arch enemy for the endgame:Chainsaw Man. This is not Resident Evil 4Nemesis Boss. This is not Resident Evil 3. To chase, hunt down the bandits from the major cities, in form of playable character or non playableI don't know if it will make the game less or more atmospheric or immersive but it will be more scarierThat's why i think without endgame players tend to become bandits or most tend to trade their itemsSome kind of missions would add to the endgame as wellThe map is very veridical and fits very well the atmosphere, a more urban map would do well too if not better with back alleys but for now this does the jobFeel free to do whatever you want with the post if you consider it is taboo or a hard subject
Guest Posted January 18, 2013 You can't have an endgame, firstly it's a sandbox, why bother.Secondly the idea is to make your own stories, not have one's made for you.The chainsaw boss however could be a certain zombie that will random spawn somewhere on a server and patrols a certain radius, that way you can never know where he is
mzltv 2281 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Such a bad idea. "Bosses" is not what this game needs. If you want variation of enemies, or something that could remotely be classed as a boss, then you should play DayZ Namalsk and take on the bloodsuckers, as well as zombies. Inception. 9443 Posted January 18, 2013 You're aware this section is for suggestions that will better the game, right?
Quartermaine 34 Posted January 18, 2013 I always thought the idea was to make other players or your own body the greatest enemy in the game? But I'm all for different/harder zombie types in certain areas.

±Traditore± 17 Posted January 18, 2013 There's no end to a survival sandbox game, only when you get bored.
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted January 18, 2013 ^ Aye, edited after I realised what I said was pretty arsehole like. But to the point.I hate the idea and it's exactly the opposite direction the devs are taking the game in thankfully.
disorder 344 Posted January 18, 2013 The boss is the guy who has made the biggest throne of survivor skulls to sit on.
Snilex 40 Posted January 18, 2013 Sorry to say it but the end game boss is me. Come get me!
Bat (DayZ) 230 Posted January 18, 2013 I won't be that harsh with him, I do think the game would benefit more variations in zombie skins/behaviour/AI. Some that are slower/stronger than others, not in inhuman proportions, but still. We already have the crawling zeds, the monkey zeds, I think standalone should be the occasion for a nice randomisation of the system, make every zed encounter less predictable.* diversified zombies : scarier, less boring.Just my 2 cents. DemonGroover 8836 Posted January 18, 2013 More zed variety, but no bosses for me. As for End Game - there should never be an end, except for death.
Michaelvoodoo25 3120 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Your a player surviving in an apocalyptic situation, not playing a horror survival game.Really, there is no enemy greater than other people, infected people are part of the story.I don't know about you, but I want a survival aspect not a zombie Shooter.there are other games out there for that scenario.
