Is this a brand new game with the error?

Some retailers ship the game with a bundled key which is the same for everyone and therefore banned, you need to talk to GoG about getting an individual key if this is indeed the case.

You aren't banned. That specific global ban ID (#a796c9) is the default CD key that GOG gives to everyone BEFORE they change the key to the one sold to them on their account. GOG includes a CD Key changer (that you must run as admin) to update that default key to the one you purchased from them.

A unique serial key needs to be registered for your copy of ArmA 2 in order to play online. You can find your key in your My Account section, after clicking the game. That's the entire three-lines-long block of text.

Copy that key and launch the Arma Serial Key Changer application, found under the Start Menu, by right-clicking it and selecting "Run as Administrator". Use your key in this application.

Please note that if you do not use the "Run as Admin" option, and you have User Account Control enabled (it's on by default), the application may not work properly. This requirement does not apply to Windows XP, which does not use User Account Control.

That's sketch. I've bought games (old games like TA: Kingdoms) from there and they were all legit.
