Hey there,

I'm new to the forums and dont own Arma II yet, I would like to know if 1, is it worth getting? 2.Would a Asus N series

run it? 3. what server should I play on? 4. Any clans I can join? 5. do is a head set recomended for direct channel chat?

Hi Im relatively new here too but I think I can answer a couple of your questions.

1. up to you, but my experience has been that this game is different from anything Ive ever played before. only you can decide if its worth it but if the 30 bucks isnt a bank breaker, give it a try.

2. Theres a "can I run it" thread that has many helpful peeps there that know a whole hell of a lot more about comps and arma 2 than I that could tell you, also the recommendedspecs that you can find around the forum somewhere, search it, is a good starting point in answering your question.

3. Ive been playing on public servers but hacking seems to be a problem on many public servers, so Im thinking of finding a private hive group to make my home til the standalone comes out.

4. Yes get a headset, its not manditory but youll be happy you have it.

it will run on the n series but dont expect it to be fast as its only a mobile i5 in most of those things and arma is very cpu heavy and then dayz on top of that. its worth 30 just for arma any mod is a plus

yeah headset is a good idea

as for servers and clans there are sections of these forums where the servers are listed with all the info on them etc in private hives same goes for clans take a look through and apply

As you entered this forum the very first sticky thread was/is 'Can I run it?' That's where you need to ask if your computer spec will run DayZ.
