Why is it an option for servers NOT to have girl characters available? Let the lesbian comments fly (sigh) but I'm a chic and most people who get to know me think its cool there are a few lady dayz'rs out there - why do I have to play as a dude?

Of all the servers ive played on, its true, i only found i believe 1 where the option was present to select your character gender. There should be the option included, after all - who says only dudes would survive ?????

I've seen many servers where you can choose a female skin. I think all public servers have this option as well.

I'm sure they will make that option much better once the Standalone comes, nothing that they need to think about right now I'd say.

Honestly, thats a strange option to have for a server. I see where it could cause a problem if you had friends on that server and wanted to play with them. Why force you to play as a toon you dont want to play.

Girl characters can't wear camo suits or ghilly suits. It makes it unfair for female characters so some servers took them out.

My question is why wouldn't a guy want to play a girl character, do you really like watching some dude running around all day... that's not very cool. However it would be nice if girls could wear camo clothes and ghilli suits, I'm sure this has been mentioned but I second it.

To have female characters available, but I guess it was too much work for you to use that ball of mush inside that thing you wear your hat on. It was much easier to be a snarky ass.

I see no point other than dat ass to actually use a female character. Males can wear different camos, females can not, and camos give a huge advantage.

I wouldn't trade a Ghillie for dat ass.

Some private servers have daft settings.

I don't tend to play transgender as I'm fully in touch with my inner brony.

One should be able to choose, but women also should be able to wear all the same gear.

Many admins perhaps don't want the hassle caused when a new play finds out his woman avatar doesn't work correctly.

It does need addressing but IMHO is a low priority.

The mod uses ArmA II character models at the time, ArmA is a military simulator thus the only female models are civilians and lack in animations and whatnot that are used in combat. Possibly in the standalone proper female support is added.

DayZ is based on Arma 2, Arma 2 is a war game. Although women can join the army in many countries none of them allow women to be where the bullets are shot. I'm 100% sure that this is something they will fix until the standalone and nothing to talk about.

Snilex - its a game kiddo. I'm not looking for historical reason - the game has an option to have a girl character - I paid for the damn game just like you did, but the majority of servers have shut off the option to have a girl character. If it werent an option it would be a no brainer and nothing I would mention but there ARE people out there who want to play girl characters - again - who paid GOOD MONEY for the game and aren't getting what was offered.

When the stand alone is out - great. I don't even complain about not being able to use a ghillie suit (I don't need one because I'm a better player) but I do want to have a female character because I do and I paid for it because of that option.

Because 12 yo's are scared of my lady parts - as WELL THEY SHOULD BE!!!

You paid "great" money to buy a game which is tons of fun and will keep you occupied for hours and hours. You didn't pay $15-30 for this game JUST so you can be a woman while running around, did you? If so you really misunderstood the point here.
