I am aware that some mods on the forums are going to do some testing with the game, but I can wait till the actual game comes out.

I just hope this won't turn into some storm of asking every damn person that gets to test if they can get their own keys...

I'm pretty sure Steam has handled certain situations like this before, where there was only a limited amount of keys released. Basically goes live, people buy it and then when they run out of keys they still allow purchases and reserve keys as they come in to those who've already purchased.. all the while labelling the game (where you would normally see the preorder timer) saying that they are out of keys and blah blah.

I don't think its so much a question of whether they could support 1M+ players the first day. Its preemptive damage control. If they do encounter massive issues, only 50k people get pissed off.

Rocket said that there would be about 1000 people, priority to Mods, admins and the like. Sorry I can't source it, but that is what he said. So you can imagine that pretty much every mod on these forums has access to it.
