A little advice for a computer noob?

Alright, so I've been watching a lot of Day Z videos lately and I've been thinking I want to get into the game; but I don't have too much money and I have to know if I can run the thing before I buy it. Unfortunately, I also have the computer understanding of an 80-year-old woman, so I was hoping someone who knows their stuff could help me out. I'm going to post everything I know about my computer, and hope for the best. Any advice would be welcome :). TL;DR I don't know what the hell I'm doing so look at the specs and tell me if I can run Day Z or not. Computer: Aspire X, Operating system: Windows 8, Processor: Intel Pentium processor G645, Graphics: Intel HD graphics, Hard Drive: 500GB Hard Drive, Memory: 4GB DDR3 Memory, Optical Drive: DVD-Super Multi Drive. Please help, and thanks a lot for your time!

Edit: ^^ what he said. You need a stronger power supply if you have a stronger graphic card it takes alot of juice but it all depends on what's already on your computer you might not need to change it.

Look it up on google: cheapest gaming graphic card and make sure it is compatible on (with?) your motherboard

Edit: yes it's enough (that's the graphic card I use yeeeeeee :D This card was very good 4 years ago but now not so much lol, at least the price is low)

Edit: don't get me wrong it's still enough to play at everything you just have to lower your settings.

Turn off your computer open the case and note down what motherboard and PSU you have (they should be marked), then check if it is compatible with the GPU you are planning to buy.

My PSU is 220 watts, but I still have NO idea how to check my motherboard. I'm on the computer's site right now, but it doesn't list motherboard in the specs. My computer is an AXC600-UR308 btw, if that helps.

Pleas don't try to turn that machine into a gaming rig. It's like deciding to use your grandmother's smartcar to get into drag racing.

Your power supply is underpowered, the computer case itself is small form factor so it physically won't be able to hold most modern video cards, you likely don't have the proper cooling (fans) and the CPU (brain) of your computer is not designed for gaming.

$500 should be able to get you a rig that plays most modern games smoothly.

Just gotta take into consideration that whether you have a cheap PC or a 2grand PC there is still a chance you'll struggle with the dayz mod due to it not being optimized properly yet, but the standalone should be out "soonish" and dean and the team are working on making sure it is optimized properly.
