I can now see why rocket needs a breather and why this thread seems like a broken record.

Are you guys going to continually repeat your demands for information for the next 10 or so pages? If so, I'll just stop checking this thread until the inevitable spam of 'new dayz info' threads start slamming the general discussion section, reddit, twitter, facebook, and every gaming site on the web.

Then what was the point of your post? You seem to take issue with potential customers asking for development updates or just a simple "Development is continuing". This is the central SA topic and there has been nothing on SA for over two weeks and not a word for over 3 days of Rocket's own deadline.

Tell me do you see many posts here calling for boycotts? or saying "Delay = No sale for me" Do you see ANY evidence of 50 percent potential sales due to this thread?

We request info. This is the topic the requests are going into. If you don't like it why not go to the various others to get your daily dose of "We haz 40 helos and snipe from half the map lolzors" perhaps?

The report button is for use to report things that are against the forum ToS. The request was outside of that. And not a demand. As a mod I would have thought you understood that. The sig is not offensive nor is in need of any mod action. If the user wants to keep the confusing sig despite the request so be it. I only asked after a PM from a person confused about saying rocket was active.

Most of the guys who want information based on "Rocket went from regular updates to complete silence, wtf?" haven't progressed to the next logical steps:

1- We all know Dean is extremely dedicated to this game and this community, and has accomplished what entire teams could only dream.

2- We all know that Dean is extremely focused on feedback directly from his fans, and he has spent hundreds of hours on these forums reading every day.

3- Dean is working with BIS now, he can't always have the final say on every aspect of development. BIS needs Dean's mod, and Dean needs BIS's engine and support..

4- He probably had to have made a deal with BIS, for example "No talk until the Steam sale is over, no exceptions." Tough deal, but maybe he had to do it.

5- He is very likely reading every post in this thread, squirming in his seat and feeling torn apart. High blood pressure, intense stress, and feeling awful that he had to back down from his release date.

Point is, Dean doesn't need to prove his dedication to us. He has proven that. If all of us are less selfish and only show support, DESPITE THE LACK OF UPDATES, at least maybe he will be less stressed out when he's reading the forums. Poor guy is definitely a lot more upset about the situation than you are, I guarantee that.

What? I didn't defend an individual or address anyone specifically, I'm starting to think your more interested in antagonising people on this thread than anything else. You've made your point (repeatedly) and we are all now well aware of how you feel about this situation. I've made my position on the subject very clear over the last few pages too.

I don't even know who you're referring too :/

To put things in perspective, there's many thousands of people playing DayZ on a daily basis and hundreds of those post on these forums daily. The fact that there's only a handful of people repeatedly demanding information from the devs on this thread tells me how patient the DayZ community is. Months of hard work and the relationship the devs have worked hard to build with this community over the last year isn't forgotten by most after a couple of weeks of silence over the Xmas period.

I see no reason to discuss such with you. Just be aware I am not reporting that person's sig as I do not believe it to be in violation of the ToS. My request stands.

That would be rather obvious don't you think? Especially considering the WarZ fiasco I do not personally believe that risking bad PR over a few extra sales of ARMA II would be worth it nor something BI would actually do.

And no reason to remain silent.

Whilst I agree with some points your making, you just guessed everything, why don't you know for sure ? Ahhh but I can stand up at the Euro Gaming and do Q&A and say this HAS to be out at Years Not should be. And then go to ground when it doesnt happen.

It is unfortunate that you consider our requests for info or even a simple tweet demanding. I consider the conduct of the silence unprofessional but I don't consider most posts in this topic to be demanding. Only that of concern and pointing out a dev imposed date has passed without a word. We are looking forward to DayZ SA and have not said anything about changing our purchase plans.

Stay Positive people and show some restraint it wont be long we will all find out soon. For the Adults out there who actually work or have family commitments this time of year is still a little crazy. No Update so what go for a walk and clear your head it doesnt matter we all know its a matter of days or even weeks and we will all be jizzing for joy with the release date or new info.

I only have one guess in that post without evidence- that BIS has told Dean to let the release date slide and not give any info. And it's a good guess too, judging by Dean's track record of communication and interaction. Does that make BIS the bad guy? From a PR point of view, maybe a little. But then again, a bunch of the extra cash will go towards the continued development of the DayZ and ARMA3, which is a good thing.

I have been a BIS fan for years, ever since I downloaded the Operation Flashpoint demo when I was a kid, on a 56k modem. And they do delay things sometimes but their end product is unique and fun to play. I can see the big picture so that's why even though I'm also annoyed about the lack of updates (my friends aren't joining me until the SA is released), I'm going to be patient regardless.

#1 I do not believe that would be legal.

#2 While the situation with those two is terrible. There was no announced delays to DayZ based on it.

On topic, when it does come out do you think we will be able to hire out servers again like the mod? or will this be ALL hive servers? I think I read it wil be Hive again, due to statistics and (I believe) a common log in portal.

I was always reluctant to rent a server for the Mod, but for the SA I may be tempted.

I think I'll leave you to it now, it's pretty clear you've gone from wanting to talk about the SA to sniping anyone that disagrees with you or your attitude.

Regarding my sig, I'm happy to promote a group of admins that have spent a lot of time, effort and money over the last few months building a great community and running servers where people can play DayZ as intended. If it wasn't for people like them, people like you wouldn't have anywhere to play. I've spoken to Matt Lightfoot and Griff about it so I guess I do know better than you. In fact I think more people should promote good admins, it helps others find somewhere nice to play and is good for DayZ as a whole. It's not a business and doesn't make money (quite the opposite) it's a group of players that enjoy DayZ.

This discussion has veered WAY off topic. There is no evidence of a conflict of interest of the sig. And said mod would have been demoted had BI or Rocket or the team considered it to be one no?
