wtf just happened

Ok, so i'm kind off frustrated cause me and my mate had been scavenging for like 6 hours on a row. And the last hour we FINALLY found a tent (3 actually) and a tractor!

So we head to the woods, place a tent start dropping stuff in it. Done. All of a sudden a loud beeping noise, lasts 20 seconds an at the end, we're both dead. Just like that.

What the fuck could that have been? A hacker????? We were the only 2 on the server that died.

The spot we were at was an abandoned place in the woods in an uncrowded server (18 ppl) Impossible it was someone random throwing a nade.

Can anyone tell me what just happened? Started playing 2 days ago, finally got good loot, made it. And then this shit, kind of frustrated i die because of bullshit.

That's odd. You weren't playing Namalsk and got nuked did you?

If you were really the only ones on the server, the only thing I can think of is bear traps. Or your friend threw a nade.

Nope, playing in Chernarus. Server wasn't empty, but not crowded. 18 people, and the spot we were at in the middle of the woods.. Impossible someone had us there right at that moment..

I even asked in the server if anyone knew what happened. No one claiming the kill either.

We still weren't moving, just barely finished storing and discussing what to do, so bear traps cant be it, and as far as i know he didnt have a nade (just a smoke one).

And i know him in real life, so he wouldn't betray me, he was kind of frustrated too :(

Oh if there was 18 people, hacker. My old server would reach 20 people and get infested by hackers. There had to be a skiddy somewhere. Most likely teleported to your cluster of tents, that's what they're attracted to.

And 18 is a high pop for a server, by the way. Lot of dangerous people could be within that many.

May not have been a hacker, could be that the person who owned that camp may have logged in while you were in the process of looting. Happens more often then you would think, I have logged in to find some bami's looting my tents before and sometimes have been able to stop them in their tracks :)

No need for a hacker to be online. Three times in 2 weeks I logged on an empty server and got that fucking swimming hack shit. As soon so called setup is finished, I am swimming wherever land I am on, loose all gear NOT in backpack and have to scavenge for weapons.

I hate battleeye and the anti hack. Pieces of shit, both of them.

That swimming in land issue has nothing to do with battleye which I agree is not the greatest anti-cheat system but honestly it has improved a great deal from what it was a few months ago. The swimming on land I know is a common issue on Namalsk which is fixable by just moving around a bit or even vaulting. If you are losing weapons and gear the servers you playing on aren't properly configured and are glitchy more so than normal.

Nothing can just kill you without any sound or anything. Even getting shot in the head with an as50(which isnt that loud) from 1000m makes a noticeable noise. Grenades you will hear the boom before you die, and most of the time grenades break your legs and hurt you alot due to kill radius.

Only thing that can just drop you dead is a hacker, and some hackers have added noises to their scripts.
