Ok, so a few weeks ago, I bout Arma2 on Steam (No DLC's) because I wanted DayZ. Well, I didn't know I needed the DLC Operation Arrowhead. So I bought Arma 2: Combined Opperations on Steam as well, and it made me pay full price, but didn't give me a second copy of Arma2. So I kept playing anyways, and I decided I didn't want to play for a bit. I let a friend borrow my CD key (Stupid idea) and now I want to play. I'm nervous that if I start playing with the CDkey, my friend will keep using mine. Is there anyway I can change my CD, or can I just buy another and use the CD key from that?

Make a new account on Steam and buy a new copy of ARMA 2. Then use the CD key from that.

Thank you! Smart idea.

EDIT: Do I need to buy Arma2 or, Arma:OA for the new CD Key?

No idea. Probably OA. If that doesn't work, you need both.

Bad way of asking "hey I got banned is there anyway I can change my CD key?" because no logical person would let a friend borrow a CD key on a game that doesn't even ask you for a CD key.

Remember, once you buy a new game, you have to delete your old CD-key.

What do you mean by borrow ?? . Does he use your steam account for it or did he torrent arma 2 and use your CD key for the installation . If you can tell me that perhaps I can provide a solution .

Why did you let your friend borrow your CD key?

This right here.

Giving your friend your CD key would be a fair amount of trouble to go through, and I see no reason why he wouldn't just buy the game himself. Sounds to me like you got one banned, and you need to buy a new one. If not then this is the weirdest set of circumstances I've seen here.

Don't give your "Friend" your CD key. He probably just needed to get unbanned. He used you as a tool, not a friend.
