Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Not really. Once you're in you play as free as a bird. The whitelisting keeps the idiots out so that you can enjoy a hack free server and play DayZ how it's meant to be played. All of the rules are common sense. Gruso (DayZ) 81 Posted January 14, 2013 I dig that the aim is to build an actual community, by making sure everyone is involved in TS and the forums. But the extra steps make it it too easy to put off until later, and then maybe forget to do it at all.Not criticising, lust laying my laziness bare for all to see.
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Np - The Aussie server that is more established and using the same rules has frequently been ranked number 1 server in Australia, so it's tried and tested :)Also, you only have to be connected to TS whilst playing, you don't have to talk to anyone. You can sit in an AFK channel. It just makes it easier for admins to deal quickly with any issues. Edited January 14, 2013 by Fraggle
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Quote from Fraggle-I would hereby like to place a bounty on the player they call Steak. He can be found in Cherno ninja blood-bagging helpless players or roaming the woods taming hogs. The first player to upload an image of a dead Steak as proof of their kill will get a custom forum sig made by me that will be so beautiful it will make angels cry.(or a tin of beans if you don't want a sig)Steak- 33k humanityCome and get me bandits Edited January 14, 2013 by Steak and Potatoes

But the extra steps make it it too easy to put off until later, and then maybe forget to do it at all.Not criticising, lust laying my laziness bare for all to see. That's what I did. I applied and didn't really want to mess with the TS. So I got on some other servers and realized they were all plagued by bad admins, idiot script kiddies, and other hackers. I then fired up teamspeak the next day, spoke to some nice aussie gent and got whitelisted to all the BB servers in five minutes. Easy enough and I haven't regretted it since.
