Have no problem with yourself and mate having a bit of fun, everybody finds some form of entertainment ingame. Be it scaring survivors over direct-chat ect..... But at the end why didn't you just set Bambi free and watch as he graciously ran into the forest... (He wasn't a threat).

Why do people refer to new players/unarmed people, "Bambi's". I find no point referring them as Disney animals. Just because a big youtuber uses it doesn't mean everyone's going to like it. Imo it makes you sound like a knob.

The other day, I respawned south of Berezino and encountered some players in a URAL. Because I was a fresh spawn, they began to call me "bambi" and some other silly names.

So I played dumb; as if I was new to the game. They handed me out some gear [i chose to take the Mk 48 mod 0 for various reasons...] and shortly after I geared up, I blew up their URAL whilst they were still inside of it. I hate the name "Bambi".

Haha wow! People call new spawns noobs as well as bambis. Doesnt mean he's actually a noob. It's a nicer word to use for a new player than noob imo.

Take it easy pal. The term "bambi" isn't meant to be an offensive term, though people seem to think it is. Frankie refers to noobs as bambis and the community has adopted it. Quit bitching about something you can't change and if you don't like the term bambi, just use noob instead.

Exactly. They turned something that would have been a mildly amusing incident for the new spawn into something that probably pissed him off just so they could giggle for a few minutes.

We really didnt mean to kill the chap, he's a regular on the server. Idk, we were just messing around at the time. I know we were being dicks but that's what the majority of the DayZ community are. Dicks.

We honestly didnt mean to kill him, we were going to take him to berezino and patch him up but unfortunatly he couldnt take another slug in the chest. :/
