dayzSA on disk for computers?

Recommended Posts

Probably not. I see no reason why it should be (besides "because it's nice").

Creating physical copies for the game costs money. For the CD and for the case and box-art.

This would bring down the profits from the 70% Valve leaves for the developers. (They take a 30% cut for every sale.)

Most likely no, digital distribution is the easiest way to release something that's going to continually updated the stock CD would be outdated instantly.

I don't think it's been officially confirmed but I'm pretty sure they're going with only digital distribution to begin with and then maybe releasing a 'collector's edition' version which would include a hard-copy of the game and a few other bits and pieces.

Maybie they could release it on hard-disc. I don't know how Steam works, but for some years ago i bought Counter strike source on hard-disc and it's running over Steam so i had to activate the key on steam + i had the way to install 95% of the game per disc.

Would be cool if a second release (the "real" SA) comes even per hard-disc. I would buy it twice :beans:

It would be wonderful!

I would like it on disk because it would be less hassle to install as internet in my area of Coventry is pretty bad.
