I once read on the FAQ that you can work for the development team by using the contact portion of the DayZ website.

Q: Can I join the 'DayZ Development Team?'

A: Use the contact form with details about what you do and how you can help us out. If possible attach some reference work such as 3D models you have made and we'll take a look at it and get back to you ASAP.

It would appear, given the bolded text in the quote above, that they are specifically in need of 3D modelers and I think it would be easier for you to get a direct reply and line of communication opened if you used their contact form, which you can find here. Great work with the models, I hope they're used!
