Vehicle suggestion- The RV

I did a forum search and it had no results for this so here goes. We have a touring bus in DayZ, what are the odds we can have an RV? If we are truly using the restroom in the standalone, it could be used as a restroom that could be dumped out in the woods away from your campsite, also a nice alternative to dropping one off in the pub. I personally don't want to get shot while leaving a present for the next guy who walks in the door.

It could have a little more storage than a car, but less than a supply vehicle like the Ural or V3S (or be a replacement for the V3S if the Dev team is stepping away from a more militarized game)

Storage values could be something along the lines of 10 weapons, 100 items, 10 packs.

Vehicle speed of the bus would be a good match

If this has been mentioned by the development team or in the forums previously, my apologies. If not, get us some Dales in the game as they make good zombie bait.

Also, why don't canteens have at least 2 drinks?

Sounds good but if trailers are added a caravan would be better and caravans could be used as enterable buildings when un-hitched

that could be interesting also. Made me think of the RVs with the trailer hitch on the back hauling a Prius down the road.

Not sure about the hitches but I dig the concept of multiple sizes of tents, all storing different capacities. The tradeoff is the size makes them easier to spot obviously.

Guess the same could go for the trailers. Hard to miss a cattle trailer parked off the NW airfield packed with M16's and 107s

I'm just hoping that you will be able to move around in vehicles. Whether that be the bus, the boats, the aircraft, or even things like moving to either side of a car if you're in the back seat. Not the "switch to ____" as we are used to. This will allow people to 1, shoot from the vehicle. 2, look around much more freely. Would make things like an RV much more appealing.

Interesting idea. What types of RVs would they use in Chernarus? I'm assuming it wouldn't be a Winnebago.

Caravans would be better because when hitched they act like trailers but when unhitched they act like enterable sheds theft have the same amount of strength as a wire fence so are fragile but the inside has heating so is warmer has lights if you operate the generator and has toilet and water tank that's fills 20 or so canteens and when in building mode storage is still assessable.

I do hope this is in the standalone as RVs could break down but caravans could be left as buildings till hitched up to any half decent car but there could also be if the makers of dayz can do it the game could have some of those half tent caravans that could lack alot of storage space but would be smaller to hide

An RV would be awesome but only if it was the only vehicle you can walk while inside on the ground so things like Backpack management you could do inside and you could shoot while inside peer out the top that kind of thing and it could also be one of the only vehicles you can fuck with gun attachments while inside

All cars in game should have the option of shooting secondary's out of windows on no scope and not from driver seat,

This would add realism to the game and make cars more valuable to the extent where rarity is fair because if your in a car going quickly down a road and a small group shoots at you taking out the tyres immobilising the car forcing you to have to get out with full exposure to enemy fire when in real life you could just shoot a hand gun through the window or even a folding stock rifle like the ak kobra

This may be a month old thread, but I do think it deserved the bump. It didn't really get a lot of attention, and I think it would be a FANTASTIC idea. A movable home? Hell yeah.

Reading some of the above posts, I think itd be a little too difficult/glitch prone to allow someone to move around inside a moving vehicle (we break our bones if we open doors wrong, which by the way is how I broke my arm as a kid...sorta). I do like the trailer/caravan idea (have different types as well, from a small 2 person camping trailer to something along the lines of what Police and Government Services use for Mobile Crises Command Centers). I can't count how many times I've seen thous blue trailer things off in the distance and thought I found myself a van.

Would be great considering form what I've read they actually want to make vehicles more rare. Can't find that Ural for making your scavenging runs into Cherno? Hook up a trailer to the GAZ and load that thing to the gills with food drinks and meds.
