Ouch

Recommended Posts

I spawned in a ways North of Elektro at a gas station, at the gas station there was a fully working car, then, as I got in another person wanders on it, we team up and spent 2 days playing DayZ. After 2 days we had set up a base up North which contained, 2 Urals and a Van stocked up with supplies, we went to rescue his friend, we drove to Stary Sobor to pick up his friend, then drove him Cherno. After we dropped him off, we drove along the coast, passing through Elektro, then, he notices a badly damaged dirt bike, we fix it and proceed to the base so I can log out, as we are nearing the base the server crashes and we do not know if we lost our stuff. The server is still down, just felt like sharing this painful experience.

Sorry for your (possible) loss. I hope these beans help to ease the pain.

Loot/Gear is updated like once a minute, your shit should be there in your camp. The vehicle you were driving may be somewhere else, but still in the game.

The way it was looking I thought it was going to be your friend going for the backstab, offing you and taking your base and gear.

When that happens, come back and we can feast on your tears...

Same thing has happened to me three times. Two of those times the servers shut down for good! What have I learned? Don't put allot of effort into making a base because its probably going to be wiped anyways.

Hopefully you dont get that log back into a non existent car glitch where it looks like you poopin your pants in the street and the car is 8k back the direction you drove before dsync while the server crashed.

Losing gear is not that bad, I have lost three vehicles that I owned for about 10 minutes.

It doesn't really bother me all that much. I get dissapointed but it only lasts until the next exciting thing happens.

What a pisser.

I've had a similar experience. The worst part was the 3 people in the car were all over the place when we spawned in again.

Had to drive from Novy to Gorka to pick up Bryan.

Did you get back on yet?

All my stuff was there once the server went back up, however, I spawned quite away from where the server crashed, but I still had the Ural I was driving. :D

Update: The server crashed again on the way to the NWAF and this time, I lost the Ural I was driving and got spawned REALLY far away *sigh*

Had a similar thing happen to me this morning. Joined a random private Chernarus server on Friday with a friend. We spent some time getting a van together, drove around collecting weapons and gear, got some tents, went north and set up a nice little camp and hid our van, then logged out for the night.

I go to log in to the server this morning....they changed it to Tavania!

Bogus.
