irleaf 2 Posted November 26, 2012 Hello Survivors,I was wondering if the LMB did the same job as the MWB on the mouse wheel menu. Thank you!
SmashT 10907 Posted November 26, 2012 I believe so yes, always use the MWB though when giving someone blood, morphine etc, otherwise if they move slightly you will end up shooting them.

dallas 5195 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) Options/controls/use selected option = Prim. Mouse btn. This means every time you use your mouse wheel, if you press fire, you execute the selected option rather than firing. Or if you're close to an active opject, like let's say a door and you need to shoot somebody, you might actually end up closing the door, breaking your legs, rather than killing the zombie, which will then proceed to eat your face, while you're stuck in the door bleeding and with your legs broken. The best thing you can do is to delete the control option for "use selected option." dallas 5195 Posted November 27, 2012 Yeah LMB is reserved for things that go boom! This is what I have:Use default action = "Enter", "Middle Mouse Btn."Use selected action = "Enter"
irleaf 2 Posted November 27, 2012 Yeah LMB is reserved for things that go boom! This is what I have:Use default action = "Enter", "Middle Mouse Btn."Use selected action = "Enter"Got it. But my question is does the LMB have the same functionality as the MWB in the scroll menu when selecting options?
dallas 5195 Posted November 27, 2012 Yes they are basically the same. You're LMB is assigned both to "Fire" and "Use selected action" by default. This means based on the situation, LMB will work either as your weapon's trigger or as your MWB. When you run up to a closed door you'll see a green <> icon and "Use selected action" means that at that point, you can simply press "fire" and open the door. Most of the time it doesn't cause any conflicts, sometimes it's a minor annoyance and a few times, it's a question of life and death. If you see a bandit, while you're in a doorway or near a corpse, instead of firing your weapon, you might close the door automatically or start a kneeling animation, slowly opening up your inventory.I just prefer to always being able to rely on LMB as my weapon's trigger, when MWB is performing the same functionality anyways.
