De-Bambi-Ification (For non-Frankie Fans I am a noob and need help)

Hi guys

The title really says it all

1. Never found anything better than a M14 AIM (unless you count killing electro snipers to get AS50's)

2. I die pretty often

3. HOW DO U GET PEEPZ TO NOT SHOOT U MAI GOD!!!!!!

4. I have been playing since 1.7.2.6 was released

5. How do u hear where a shot came from or where those footsteps are coming from do I need surround sound or just skill?

(BTW I found a few helicopters but only ever found M14 AIMS and FN FALS)

So guys can you share your secrets with a Bambi (noob)?

1. Look in Fire-stations, then head north,

2. Be more sneaky.

3. By not letting them shoot you.

if you're not using a headset (or something else with good dual-channel audio) then you'll never hear directions, only distances, invest in a headset (a cheap USB one should have dual channel as a minimum) and get some practice stalking zed or players i guess

Hi ILB. I agree with Rage VG. Whaddaya mean "only" M14 AIMs and FN Fals? That's as good as it gets. I love both those guns. :thumbsup:

1. My fav gun is the M14. It's nasty.

2. You need to avoid populated areas to survive longer. Observe towns from >200m away prior to entering them and look sfor zombies that have spawned. This indicates nearby players.

3. You avoid them. You have no idea if they will shoot or not, so don't allow them the opportunity.

4. Congrats.

You're doing fine. Like others have said, avoid the big towns on the coast.

(Stop using the word "Bambi" though. It's just wrong, but at least you get beans for not saying "bro".)

My suggestion is to hang on to those guns. The FN is a beast at mid range, up close, but is something of a dinner bell for Zombies. So is the AIM, but at least you can be much further with that one.

Next step: leave the towns, head north in search of more choppers and hopefully a vehicle, so you can repeat same, but faster.

Thanks guys that helped but where I am going to get stuff like maps unless I go to Berezino or Cherno like do I get that at smaller towns or what?

I was giving you a link. If u type "Map" in search field u get this. http://dayzdb.com/ma...66.111;item=Map

Only places where Maps can be found are marked now. Loot chance lower than 1% at most places each Loot spawn.

Maps found in Shops best I belive, 4% and Loot spawns: 24

I always do one lap of Cherno/Elektro/Berez right at the start when I have nothing to lose then only really go back if I need med supplies, you can get geared in the smaller towns on your way north but it's so much faster if you just take the risk and go to a city.

I do a similar lap, mZLY but I exclude Berezino until I a good backpack and weapon, unless I need antibiotics. I find it impossible to get through Berezino with enough blood to stop me from fainting repeatedly. <_<

1. The M14 is a choice gun. excellent for cqb and sniping.

"(BTW I found a few helicopters but only ever found M14 AIMS and FN FALS)" M14's are preemo like I said. FAL's are a beast but the ammo is rare and a "dinner bell" vs zombies.

"So guys can you share your secrets with a Bambi (noob)?" play-die-play-die-play (etc.). There are so many glitches with the game that are advantageous and the counter. PM me I'll share my skype and we can do a run on a private hive and I'll show you some tricks on the Chenarus map and answer any questions you have.

I laugh when people say they've spawned in Kamenka and are sad. I love starting in Kamenka. Head north (Water is South ;)) One could hit-up 8 deer stand, easy before going to the Zelen-Mall. Harder to find med-supplies but I generally, survive-longer.
