Please don't implement passing stool

I for one would love this. I mean think about it. IRL when you need to go you need to go. that we are already adding a bunch of sicknesses why not diarrhea?

In real life people are incapacitated from being shot once with most guns. Just because it is realistic does not mean it should be implemented.

true but rocket said he wanted authenticity. i think this would add a measure of that authenticity. he wanted the game to become more human. that was the idea behind removing UI and forcing the player to use other ques to figure out what is wrong with their body in the new more complicated medial system. i think that stool would not only add some humor to a dark game but also act as a tool in gauging the players health as improper stool would be a sign of sickness. please, i'm not just being funny i did think this through.

I think pooping , and sleeping ( for short times ) , probably even washing , would be a great addition to the game .

It forces to players to have to find a safe location , at some stage , other than just sitting on top of , or in , an unsafe area , sniping or what have you .

It would create opportunity costs , ie : I would like to chase those scumbags on that ATV , except i am dead tired and need a crap .

People would not find infected areas quite so welcoming if they know they need to rest soon , or need to relieve themselves .

Also , Flaming Edgars .

Dropping logs off the Cherno chimneys

Running up to new spawns..'pull my finger..c'mooooon..pull it..'

log cabins..

placing logs in backpacks of randoms and running away.

Is that a log in your pocket ?

waiting at the logby to get into game

logging out..

Running into the forest ..logs..logs everywhere.

Pulling up a stool in the Elektro pub..

this game is hyper-realistic needing to use the restroom falls under this last time i checked.

Since the game is in real time you can just consider your time offline as your character sleeping... No need to waste game time on that.

And the poop thing, i don't mind either way. If it's in it'll be interesting, if not too bad.

You'll need to bury that crap to stop enemy dogs sniffing you out, army guys in burma have to do that when 100m from the frontline.

Well if you add pooping also add a way to dispose of it. Right now entrenching tools are very rare. Just add the landscaping shovel to the loots spawn table.

OMG I am dying with all the ideas pooping brings.Stepping in something and suddenly you have a ton of flies surrounding your boots...squad mates accusing each other of not washing after...being sniped and dodging thru minefields of poo.This adds alot to the game IMO.Just have a reasonable lifespan for poo so that you can't run into ridiculous situations.Also a new item could be toilet paper and for the survivalist...leaves.

Everyone complaining about the poo system, but i think it could actually be funny :D

Imagine yourself in a big city, scavenging for food, and supplied, and then you suddenly hear some flies, you rush in that direction, happy and proud that you found a dead players body ... instead you step in something brown :D :D :D

On a more serious note: Yes many people may complain that "it's a game" but ... you need to consider that on top of all is a survival sim, The devs are trying to make it as realistic as possible.

Consider the current state, you are in the game, the only challenge you get from it is in big cities, or on the airfield. But while you are travelling from one location to another, you rarely see other players. This would be a helpful way to "track" other players in forests,

You walk in the forest, and find a camp fire, then 50 m or 100 m ahead you find that someone took a dump there, from that line, you can get a general idea of the direction in which the player was heading and start making your way in that direction, to kill him ... or scold him, because he didn't cover it up ...

Another thing is, on other games, you see a lot of people complain aaaa mini games, loosing immersion with the game bla bla bla ...Rocket is trying to add content in the game from real life, things we do naturally, either if we want it or not; and not add things like "lock picking" or stuff that you need to move your mouse a little to the left then up, to place the pins to open the lock, while a zombie is munching on your skull.

Also, a normal person poops 2-3 maybe 4 times a day, i don't think that you will notice this as much as you think that you will. There will probably be hours(or days) before you have to do it; depends on how often you play the game.

My opinion, stop acting like children and making this idea such a tabu, because we all do it in real life too. And like someone else said, if you prepare to go fighting and think that it will "interfere" with your "skills" go behind a tree first, then go on shooting people, or zombies, or bunnies, whatever you feel is most challenging to you.

Give it a try at first, then see if you don't like it, post on the forums, and i guess Rocket will remove it in the first patch for DayZ

poo 2-4 times a day? do you have diahrea? and I believe the time you aren't playing, aka "rest" time when you aren't playing is the time you "excrete" maybe when you log on a place nearby where you are is where you shat while you were offline.

And if realism is important, I've never drunk an entire waterbottle in one go

In Thailand, when I was there on exercise with the SAF, I spent most of the time as our Platoon GPMG Gunner. The heat, combined with wearing body armor and kevlar helmet, pack, etc... meant that I ended up drinking an entire jerry can of water in one day (about 18 litres). Regularly, when the opportunity availed itself, I would down an entire jerry can canteen.

Soldiers certainly learn to appreciate two things... water, and toilet paper.
