I understand what you say.

myself, repair pc's and I delete a lot of crap toolbars (the client pc's). but that toolbars are crap.

But, this does not.

1 ° it is clean and does not pull the pc.

I created for myself and several friends an old toolbar to another game (because he played several hours in that game, and every day since 2005. (Play, mapping, skins, site administer, tournaments etc.) preferred to create a toolbar that spend 20 minutes researching the links bookmarked and lose several hours in these confusions.

I play "dayz" daily since avril / May, and am very active in the news, forums etc, every day I look (think playing a long time, and also will play "the game dayz"). so myself, I need the dayztoolbar. Otherwise, lose several minutes to search. (And end several hours)

Who is very active, and has importance to the game I think it is very practical.

In general, always treat programs from "unknown sources" with care.

Use protection.

Try to see if a program is open source, if so get a techie pal to have a peek at it.

@mercenary. I looked into "ourtoolbar" and then who and what "Conduit" is. I paid attention to the history of backdoors, background installations, troublesome uninstalls, redirects, data mining, homepage hijacking, and the Mozilla devs and mods having issues with the company that produces the toolbar software and the endless security issues.

I'm not saying you're some type of scum or anything else as anyone can brand the Conduit software and then push it out without realizing what it is or what they're doing.

I know these reputations. and I am in contact with the admins of conduit toolbar, since 2009.

conduit toolbar is a toolbar of the best products, but as in all situations and programs, some people put links phishing, malware etc.

other platforms that bad / good reputations.

Facebook is worse, have been accused several times of making public private messages and many other stories not legal. This is just one example among thousands.

bandits and thieves have always existed in reality and virtual.

is like in reality, there is always corruption, even by people well known or loved.

my toolbars, 100% scaned with several antivirus, malwarebytes etc (never had problems with my toolbars) nothing,nite,nada,rien. and I can guarantee, not pishing or intrusions or theft of data. even recompiling the program, never saw anything suspicious! but maybe I'm blind ... :D

There are other programs that I suspect much more! example: when installing six (the antivirus are crazy, even malwarbytes etc (open admin rights and without permission alters many things without permission.) exemple: Malwarebyte pro detects more than 60 attacks. attacks show the data, the ip and links). was a reason I uninstall month later. (But this is only my opinion, the product was good, but then disliked, and distrusted ".
