ianramos 47 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) I was wondering...Sometimes a zombie hits you or something like that, but you don't get infected. Why?How does the infection works?EDIT: I don't mean like: "Why I didn't become a zombie?". I'm just wondering how the zombies became zombies, how they get infected? Edited November 15, 2012 by #Knight
SmashT 10907 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) He also wants a story — not a narrative that guides players, but a backdrop to contextualize the world.Hall’s brother, a virologist, “geeked out” and wrote a 20-page manuscript for the zombie virus. Deciding that something rabies-based would be too easy, the two investigated Toxoplasmosis, a neurological infection that causes mice to be sexually attracted to cats. It’s also theorized to have an effect on humans, perhaps cat ladies. The Hall brothers have decided on a name for the virus, but consider it one of the surprises for the game’s launch. http://dorkshelf.com...ses-to-go-easy/I'm sure we will find out more in the standalone. Oompa 25 Posted November 15, 2012 I just had the funny thought that the standalone rocket is working on isn't a video game at all... rather his virologist brother is working on a very real strain of the virus to be released into the wild, creating the most realistic zombie survival game, ever!
leettari (DayZ) 133 Posted November 16, 2012 I just had the funny thought that the standalone rocket is working on isn't a video game at all... rather his virologist brother is working on a very real strain of the virus to be released into the wild, creating the most realistic zombie survival game, ever!Think you're right.Luckily there is advantaged and professional people who can fight against this virus.I mean, we all have played a zombie survival simulator for a good time now, at least we'll be more ready for this than those who stick with WoW, CoD or alike. We can do this, guys!
21standlast 0 Posted November 16, 2012 Good one mates, i always hear people talk about how when zombies arrive, half the population will just think dayz has arrived in virtual reality, but if you're wondering about players looking as zombies, thats just a option in edit player. So Smasht if thats how the infection started it would just be luck if you weren't infected, i think thats bull, i like the thought of the stereo-typical zombies because it wouldnt be luck, it would be how strong and smart you are to avoid them.
