Uh, how do you start playing?

Okay, so I just got DayZ installed with the Play withSIX thing, and I don't know what to do now. No servers pop up on the list, and if I try playing single player it takes me to... what I think is just Arma 2 missions?

I have no idea how to actually "activate" Day Z. Like, idk. And if I just try to join a server from within the game it's usually like "Whoa, your version is wrong!" or it says I'm missing files or something. I don't know.

I don't get how to start playing. Could anyone help explain this to a mega noob?

Download DayZ Commander, you can update everything from it, http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and http://dayzdb.com/ all this should help.

Yes it does. It even has specific options so you can use steam overlay etc. I use it myself, and highly recommend it. :thumbsup:

I'm not sure why no servers are showing up, but definitely forget about single player - that won't do anything for you in terms of DayZ.

Now, don't forget, you need to run the standard game once from Steam and you should, anyhow, just to run the infantry tutorial.

And yes, DayZ Commander. I hope they buy it out and use it as the in-game browser you-know-when.
