Jump in sales?

Recommended Posts

Three days ago I saw there were about 1330000 players, the day after was about 1490000, yesterday was 1540000. and now it is 1640000.

It means today nearly 100000 man bought ARMA2? If there is a promotion somewhere?

It is very interesting.

Nah, mainly Scripters getting new copies when their key gets banned, To be honest there are not as many "New" players hanging about these days with the impending release of SA upon us.....

Saying that though i have noticed a fair few lost soles on the Chernaus maps recently.....

Guys, what is wrong with Statistic at dayzmod.com ?

There were a 1,333,XXX players 3 days ago http://dayzmod.com/f...-jump-in-sales/

And now it's 1,640,735 over 300,000 in 3 days ! Is statistic true?

Let me explain.

Yes there where period when ARMA 2 where TOP 1 on steam sails, i remember 300,000 new players in 11 days.

https://twitter.com/...440040049643520 12 July

https://twitter.com/...340033575747584 23 July

Now it's №6 And 300,000 in 3 days !!! Wtf?

cfptc.png

Also right now DayZ population of ARMA 2 is very low

VreGV.png

Where are those 300,000 new players?

Also, look at statistic "Players in Last 24h"

8djCm.jpg

Only 40k(Yes today where 30k but sorry no screenshots, can't prove it)

If suppose that only 25% of all are old players who already have a game it means that in average day 300,000/3=100,000 have bought the game, only 30k played it! I don't know how about you, but when i buy a game, i play it as soon as possible.

So guys, what's going on ?

English is not my native language, so I'm sorry for the mistakes I make.

even if it was accurate it wouldnt give the full picture, as it doesnt show the stats for those that have gone over to private hives.

just ignore it is my advice.

We noticed this too. We have known about under reporting of DayZ numbers for some time, I believe the updated release of 1.7.3 means more servers are reporting users numbers now so that 30k was a difference of those users who's server was not previously reporting.

2 million by standalone?

2.5 million? It's jumped well over 2 million in the last day with another 400k or so users :/

Within a couple of hours the player counter on the main page did a skip of 300,000. Two times. It was like on 1,6mil and now it is on 2,3mil.

I highly doubt there would be such a wave of players this time around. It seems bugged. Anybody from the Web team can confirm that?

It wasn't updated for ages because of a bug so now it's playing catch-up.

Oh, wow. So many players then. Hopefully everybody is up for the standalone ;)

Thanks for the quick response.

No worries. I was wondering the same and then I saw Rocket answer a similar question a couple of days ago.

Are you sure it's not counting the same players multiple times? BIS should have access to info on number of games sold when and I'm sure they have some statistics on their auth server.
